Suffice to say, the source is buildable with the latest changes to Lineage, but there's still some work to be done (like the Discord invite).

Platform bugs so far
- QS tile tinting doesn't work (might remove the setting altogether)
- ROM info dashboard shows version as 1.4 (might remove the entry altogether)
- The Discord invite points to the old, dead, Kasumi server

There's a problem where you don't get unlimited storage in the recent versions of Google Photos.

It was spotted by the YouTube channel "Random Repairs" that updating Google Photos gets rid of the unlimited storage capability on Project CiRCLE.

The workaround is to uninstall updates if you updated it, and disabling automatic updates.

I'm not planning to use a newer Pixel's feature XML since the feature XML we're using provides unlimited backup at original quality, whereas the feature XML from the newer Pixel provides unlimited backup at "high quality", which is compressed. They're not the same.

There was a bug where enabling Google search bar in home settings would produce an empty space when Google app is updated. The bug has been pushed to the repos and that space should no longer stay empty.

The fix comes with a quirk though: When you install an app that overrides the detection (for example MIUI's System Launcher), that app's search bar appears instead of Google's.

What makes Project Kasumi smooth is the amount of optimizations we've inherited from other similar projects.

However, what makes Project CiRCLE smooth is the Lineage base itself.

Due to some technical difficulties, we'll set the version for Android 17 release to 1.3, with the codename still being Afterglow.

Looking for designers!

Following recent drama happening around the lead developer, the lead designer decided to leave the project quietly.

This action of his was discovered during a regular check on the Telegram channel stats.

While it's understandable that he has his own reasons to step down from his role as the lead designer, this action puts the future of the project at potential risk.

Because of this change, we're once again looking for designers willing to commit to the project long term.

If no designer is found until the next redesign of Android, the project will be rebranded to Project Kasumi: AOA and reuse the design elements from then-in-development Project Kasumi v2 "PasuPare" to keep things going for the short term.

And this is why you don't trust indirect connections for roles like this.

And there's already a volunteer! Well, he (the volunteer I'm talking about) has been a volunteer since way before this incident happened. Glad to see him aboard!

I apologize to the m34x users that use CiRCLE right now. There's a bug where multiple media streams or call and media streams can't play together.

The upstream developer already fixed this issue, and I'm working on releasing an update on this matter.

I switched to One UI just because of this issue, but guess I'll be back to CiRCLE again. :P

I also apologize for removing VoLTE in the latest build. That was because it was too buggy and left unmaintained.

Revised version of the introduction btw

Hello! We're two computer engineering students and three designers working together to make a ROM that's no-crap, no-unnecessary-bloat and no-gore that's themed around the BanG Dream! franchise while being based on LineageOS.

We believe in a philosophy that even LineageOS-based ROMs can be good and original when the developers behind them know what they're doing.

Examples of what we provide that most ROMs don't are as follows:
1. Charging sounds based on battery percentage at which the device is plugged in. (Original)
2. Battery saver on charge. (Original)
3. Boot animation that goes between light and dark theme depending on the system theme. (Original, also available on halcyon)
4. Face unlock without the ugly face icon. (Original implementation cherry-picked, face icon removed manually)
5. Nix FHS environment for reproducible build environment. (Adapted from halogenOS)

On the side, the lead developer is maintaining a revival of your favorite anime ROM, Project Kasumi!

Announcing Project CiRCLE 1.2.1!

Starting today, maintainers will work on rolling out this patch update which includes some small but valuable changes.

This version includes the following new stuff:
- F-Droid Privileged Extension. This means you won't have to keep F-Droid in the foreground when installing/updating apps from there.

With the following fixups:
- Proper space support for the maintainer property. This means your maintainer can now put their full name and list multiple maintainers if they desire.

Good luck with building! Every update is meant to improve our ROM and how it behaves!

Quick side note I should put here: We're currently in a transitional period in terms of UI, and it will take a while until we get there. So if things look slightly different when you build at some point, it's because it has changed!
