▪️ hand luggage — ручная кладь (британский вариант)

▪️ baggage — то же самое, но звучит чуть формальнее

Ситуация "ты там давай свои умные слова английские при себе оставь"🐛

Я в Индии, я уже нетерпелась тут страху (всё пошло максимально не по плану с деньгами и связью). НО! Как же прекрасно, что тут все понимают инглиш. 🐰

В русском: жара
В английском — целый спектр 🔥:

☀️ heat — жара как факт
☀️ hot weather — нейтрально
☀️ scorching — адская жара
☀️ sweltering — душно и тяжело
☀️ stifling — невозможно дышать

❗️ Это не совсем синонимы.
Это разные ощущения телом.

PART 1. Goa → Bangalore → Hotel (or: how tired a human can be)

I flew from Goa to Bangalore and honestly… I was completely exhausted.
Not “a bit tired” — the brain-off, survival mode kind of tired.

I landed with no local cash, no local SIM, and no working bank cards.
Russian cards don’t work.
Roaming internet works — but it’s crazy expensive, so every minute online feels painful.

By some miracle, my virtual card connected to Uber.
I felt saved.
Until the driver arrived and said:
“Cash only.”

Local.Cash.
Which I didn’t have. At all. Exchange at the airport quote: Close today, madam

So there I was: a new city, no money, weak internet, a tired brain — and a driver who clearly didn’t care.
At that moment, Bangalore felt… unfriendly.
Or maybe I was just too tired to be brave.

Anyway.
I survived.
Barely 😅
I made to my hotel where everyone was supportive and friendly... and I could exchange my cash to local one. Yey!

PART 2. The Concert: safe, loud, perfect

This time, I wasn’t alone.
I met Russian guys from our Telegram group, and suddenly everything felt much calmer.
Not scary anymore — just exciting.

Getting to the concert was easy.
The organisation? Top level. Respect.
Really, hats off.

One small thing I loved:
You pay 100 rupees for a cup, and then you can refill it with drinking water for free.😱😱
Simple. Smart. Human.

And the show…
Linkin Park were pure class.
Absolute professionals.
The sound. The light. The energy.
Nothing to add.

Most people around us were locals, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
No chaos. No aggression. Just music and shared joy.

The concert ended at 10 p.m.
We got home at 3 a.m.
But that’s another story 😌

Imagine this:
30,000 people leave one place at the same time.
The city is 15 km away.
Everyone needs a taxi.

And then — boom.💥
The internet is gone.
Uber is down.

We walk away from the concert area…
And walk.
And walk.🚶‍♂️

Too far.
And — surprise — in the wrong direction.👏

No people.
No taxis.
Just a random roadside kiosk, four Russians, and very bad internet.👀

After two hours, we finally find a car.
Price changes instantly:
“Not 500. 1000.”
We say okay.

Later, the driver suggests dropping us off without the app.
My hotel was the last one.

We calculate the price.
He starts shouting.
The number he names is way too high.
It just wasn’t worth that money.

Reminder: we already paid double just to get to the city.

We give him a bit less than he asked.

And then…
He chases us to the hotel.❗️‼️👀

We run.
Get into the room.
Lock the door.
Make tea.
Wait.

Eventually, he leaves.

All hail Uber.
Seriously.

И логика подсказывает:

❗️Но в английском late не дружит с on.
