📝 1⃣ 📝 📝 📝 📝 📝 📝 📝
In this article, the author explains why it is important to learn from failures in business and other fields. In complex systems, failures happen, but companies should try to learn from them instead of blaming people. Leaders need to create a culture where employees feel safe to report mistakes and analyze them. In research and development (R&D), failing fast can actually lead to success faster. There are different kinds of work, like routine tasks and creative tasks, and each requires a unique approach to failure. For example, small mistakes in hospitals should be studied to improve patient care. The author also describes examples, such as Ford and NASA, to show how detecting and analyzing failures early can prevent major issues. Another point is that in science, experiments often fail, but this helps scientists learn. Companies should view failure as a learning opportunity, not a reason to punish people. In summary, organizations that analyze and learn from failure can grow stronger and improve their processes.

Уж было подумала, что все эти заголовки и приманки канули в Лету, became a thing of the past, так сказать.

When you work for a company, you may want to ask for a salary increase at some point. It's important to prepare well before talking to your manager. This can help you feel confident and improve your chances of getting the raise. To start, you should check if it's the right time to negotiate. If you’ve had a positive performance review, this might be a good moment to ask for more.
Next, gather information on your job’s average salary, both in your company and in the market. You can also list your achievements to show how you’ve helped the company grow. It’s essential to ask for a specific number instead of a range, as this shows you’ve done your research. Practicing your negotiation with friends or family can help you feel more confident.
During the conversation, focus on the value you bring to the company. Avoid talking about your personal financial needs. If the negotiation doesn’t go as planned, stay positive and professional. You may ask for other benefits instead, like more vacation days. Remember, keeping a good relationship with your boss is crucial, whether you get the raise or not.

Think about your work and what you did well. When you talk to your manager, don’t talk about personal problems, like rent. Instead, focus on the good things you do at work. Practice your speech before the meeting to feel calm and ready.

The traditional idea of work is changing. In the past, success meant working long hours and staying loyal to one employer. Today, workers are rewriting this "social contract." People now value flexibility and balance. The shift began before COVID-19, but the pandemic sped it up. Many employees prefer remote or hybrid work. Technology lets them work from anywhere, like during "workations." Some workers, called digital nomads, live and work in different places.
The way people think about hard work is also changing. Long hours and constant availability are no longer admired. Movements like quiet quitting and anti-hustle culture encourage balance. Others, like FIRE, help people save and retire early. Social media hashtags show that many prefer a balanced lifestyle.
More people now freelance or start side businesses. This gives them control over their time and income. Career breaks, once seen as negative, are now accepted. Workers want careers that fit their lives, not the other way around. Employers who don’t adapt risk losing talent.
