For the great AtmA-s, even a flaw is for merit.

doṣho guṇāya guṇināṃ mahadapi doṣhāya doṣhiṇāṃ sukṛitam |
tṛīṇamiva dugdhāya gavāṃ dugdhamiva viṣhāya sarpāṇām ||

For the great even a flaw is (for producing a) merit, and for the wicked even merit is for (producing a) flaw.
For the cow, the grass is for (producing) milk, for the snake the milk is for (producing) venom.

Happy New Year to all. Hope 2021 is far better than 2020.
Hard work is essential for destiny to work.

yathā hyekena chakreṇa na rathasya gatirbhavet |
evaṃ puruṣhakāreṇa vinā daivaṃ na sidhyati ||

Like a chariot doesn’t move or has speed with just one wheel, daiva (destiny) doesn’t work without effort and industry.

Action of an uncontrolled mind is like an elephant-bath!

avaśhendriya-chittānāṃ hasti-snānamiva kriyā‍|
durbhagā’’bharaṇaprāyo jñānaṃ bhāraḥ kriyāṃ vinā ||

Those who haven’t controlled their senses yet, their action is like an elephant’s bath. Like the jewelry of a widow, knowledge without implementation is only burden.
