🛑 The US Department of Justice (DoJ) officials made a huge Live Announcement worthy of a Francis Ford Coppola Hollywood movie, after the Russian co-founder of a Hong Kong-based crypto exchange, #Bitzlato (completely unknown in the crypto community) was arrested yesterday in Miami for laundering $700 million related to illicit Russian finance.
Well, they were much more low-key and unstaged after the arrest of young Californian entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of #FTX and 2nd largest crypto exchange, who defrauded millions of investors out of over 10 billion dollars, which is about 15 times more than the $700 million of #Bitzlato launderer.
BTW, Bitzlato is not among the 244 exchanges listed on CoinMarketCap, and their Twitter account does not even reach 1,500 followers.
This charade by the American authorities is simply ridiculous. 😣
