In 2025, Rothschild & Co was appointed financial advisor for the sale of a 50% stake in Controp Precision Technologies, an Israeli surveillance firm whose cameras track, identify, and help direct strikes across Gaza, in a deal valued between $600 million and $1 billion

One example of Controp’s products is the Speed‑A camera, deployed on Skystar 300 aerostats. These aerostats float at 300 meters with a 10-kilometer viewing range, and they provide both live intelligence and laser guidance for strikes. That footage then feeds into a larger AI targeting system built by Israel's Unit 8200

This system includes tools like "Lavender" and "Gospel," which automatically scan phone records, social media activity, and intercepted messages to create lists of targets. Often, there is very little human review

Whistleblowers say that AI‑nominated targets can be approved in as little as 20 seconds. As a result, Israeli strikes jumped from roughly 50 per year to over 100 per day during the Gaza genocide

One particularly controversial tool, called "Where's Daddy," tracks individuals until they reach their homes and then sends a strike notification, leaving almost no time for nearby civilians to evacuate

Rothschild & Co doesn't fire missiles or program kill lists that murder Palestinians, but its advisory work helps bankroll the companies that do.

Technological progress is accelerating at an exponential, rapid pace, but likewise are the inner contradictions within the technological-system.
Progress creates more problems than it solves. Natural resource depletion, climate change, world war, ecosystem collapse, and the list goes on, are the inevitable result of progress.
The system will eventually hit crisis. We must act decisively to dismantle the technological-system when the right opportunities arise.
