Tips For Jrf

📘 Paper 1 = Equalizer (Sabke liye same)

Paper 1 sab subjects ke liye common hota hai, isliye ye aapka biggest scoring advantage hai.

Focus karo:
• Teaching Aptitude
• Research Aptitude
• Logical Reasoning
• Data Interpretation
• ICT

👉 Tip: Roz 20–25 MCQs practice karo
👉 Goal: Paper 1 me zero weak topic hona chahiye

📚 Subject Strategy (Har subject ke liye same)

Koi bhi subject ho, approach same rakho:
• Syllabus ko units me divide karo
• Har unit ke liye:
1. Concept clear karo
2. PYQs solve karo
3. Short notes banao
4. MCQs practice karo

👉 Golden Rule: Pehle PYQs, baad me books

🔁 PYQs = Half Preparation Done
• Last 10–15 saal ke papers solve karo
• Tum notice karoge:
• Same concepts repeat hote hain
• Question pattern almost same hota hai

👉 Kai baar question bas thoda modify karke aa jata hai

⏱️ Exam Attempt Strategy
• 1st round: Easy + sure questions
• 2nd round: Moderate questions
• 3rd round: Doubtful questions

👉 Sab questions blindly attempt mat karo
👉 Target: 85–90 questions with high accuracy

📝 Mock Test System (Sabse zyada ignore hota hai)
• Week me 2 mock tests do
• Har mock ke baad:
• Galtiyan analyze karo
• Weak areas identify karo
• Un topics ko revise karo

👉 Improvement sirf test dene se nahi, analysis se hota hai

📖 Revision Formula (Bahut important)

3-layer revision follow karo:
• Short notes (1–2 page per topic)
• Weekly revision
• Last 10 days → sirf revision + PYQs

⚖️ Accuracy > Speed
• Negative marking nahi hai, but rank matter karta hai
• Random guessing se percentile girta hai

👉 Smart attempt = high accuracy + limited but correct attempts

🔥 Last 15 Days Strategy

Sirf ye karo:
• PYQs
• Mock tests
• Short notes

Koi new book nahi
Koi new topic nahi

💡 Golden Line

“JRF clear karne ke liye zyada padhna zaroori nahi, smart padhna aur baar-baar revise karna zaroori hai.”

When you are applying into IITs/IISERs/NITs please note the following things....

https://t.me/Rm_pdfs/337

First....👇

1. Every IIT/IISER/NIT operates differently. Each one of these institutions (i.e every other IIT or IISER or NIT) have their own set of eligibility criteria and shortlisting criteria. For example, IIT Kanpur will have a different format of eligibility and shortlisting admission processes when you compare it with, let's say, IIT Delhi or IIT Madras.

How to tackle this- This will get confusing, so make a note of everything. Maintain a diary or a word file or an Excel sheet and note down the following things-eligibility criteria, credentials that you're using to fill the form, passwords, application number, form fillups (when, starting and closing dates), helpdesk contacts, form status, payment status, pdf of the form that you've filled (save it for future reference), call letter received, research areas, date of test/interview (add more as per your requirements)

---------------------------
Second....👇

2. Regarding eligibility criteria- Don't simply look for NET/GATE/JRF qualifications. See educational qualifications as well. In some IITs/IISERs/NITs they will ask you to have 60 percent and above in your qualifying degree. In some IITs/IISERs/NITs they will ask you to maintain a record of 60 percent and above from your 10th till your qualifying degree.

----------------------------

Third....👇

3. Regarding shortlisting criteria- so this is decided by each IITs/IISERs/NITs. You've filled the form based on their provided eligibility criteria. Then your applications are shortlisted by another criteria. For instance, at IIT Delhi, in English literature, to be eligible to sit for the test the candidate is usually asked to ensure if they've scored 70 percent and above in their qualifying degree. But while filling the form, they mentioned 60 percent. So, note that once you have filled the application forms, you're then going to go through a shortlisting process which will make you eligible for the next step (which could be the test or the interview)

Also note that, not every IIT shares it's shortlisting criteria with everyone. For example, IIT Madras and Gandhinagar will not inform you that your candidature is rejected and on what grounds.

----------------------------

Fourth.... 👇

4. If any IIT/IISER/NIT is taking a test, please make it a point to write well informed answers. During the interview, if they began posing questions from your response sheet, and you're clueless... It'll be very difficult.

I hope this helps you and i hope you'll keep these things in your mind when you're going to fill the forms...

Fifth....👇

5. Regarding application forms - Few IITs/IISERS/NITs will ask for your proposal+SOP at the time of filling up of application form (like IIT Madras, IISERs), they will specify their requirements regarding word limit. Few don't ask (like IIT Roorkee, IIT So, if you're going with multiple proposals, maintain a record for your own reference.
