James 4:6 (KJV): But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
RECEIVE IT ALL
When it comes to receiving graces I desire, I usually take no prisoners. I will do everything within my power to partake of an anointing.
Years ago, a general of our faith visited my country. I needed to receive what he had in his spirit. When I asked the Lord how I should do it, he told me to join the choir that would worship during his crusade.
I found a way to get into the choir and also bought myself two neckties branded with his ministry logo, one for each day of the crusade, as my points of contact. I was leaving no stone unturned.
On the first day of the crusade, during his ministration, he turned and said, ‘Choir, raise your hands.’ While others heard choir, I heard, ‘Grace Lubega, raise your hands.’ He released the anointing and I received it.
However, I did not feel that it was quite what I was hungering for. I told the Lord as much. He told me that for day 2, I should arrive much earlier. I did, got myself a perfect spot to sit and waited. Again, during the ministration, the man of God turned to the choir and released the anointing. This time, the power of God hit me and propelled me several rows away from where I had sat. When I sobered up half an hour later, I knew I had got it!
What are you willing to do to receive?
This generation is so proud yet it does not have enough.
Cast down your crowns, tear off the veils of indifference, put aside your title and do what must be done to receive the anointing.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 23:12; Psalm 138:6
GOLDEN NUGGET: What are you willing to do to receive? Cast down your crowns, tear off the veils of indifference, put aside your title and do what must be done to receive the anointing.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. You have given me access to many great men and women whom You have anointed for my sake. Humble me to receive from what You have placed in them. May I pay every price to get a hold of the graces available for me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Galatians 6:7-9 (KJV): Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
OF SEED AND HARVEST
Some people in life think they can explain away what they have no grace for.
A Christian may criticize a successful believer for the simple reason that he is unable to sow the kind of seeds that believer has sown.
For example, it might be the seed of hard work. The criticizer is not able to give hours of effort and time to a task because he has a poor work ethic. When this believer studies the increase in the life of his brother, he may accuse him of being a thief for no other reason than that he cannot do what is required to achieve such success.
There are glories you can never explain away because they were built on the seed principle.
We are all a sum total of the seeds we have sown.
Scripture is explicit in its warning to us. Do not be deceived, you reap what you sow.
As a child of God, you must make the conscious choice to stop sowing certain seeds and deliberately plant others.
Hallelujah!

Psalm 92:13 (KJV): Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
THE PRICE OF POSITIONING
I have mentioned in previous devotions that there are things in life that will find you because you are positioned and not because you seek them.
I have also learned from experience that the price of positioning is higher than that of seeking because the former chastises your spirit.
What does this mean?
By way of an example, a Christian may find it easier to spend twenty-one days in prayer and fasting on a mountain believing God for an anointing than to submit to a man or woman of God who operates in the anointing they seek.
To be positioned to receive this anointing, you will need to forsake your pride and let go of any prejudices you have against the minister and allow yourself to receive from him. To some people, this is much harder.
In Ecclesiastes 10:4, the Bible says, “If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.”
If you are David having to deal with a difficult man like Saul, positioning will demand that you respect him regardless of his mistreatment of you. It requires a disciplined spirit to do that.
An unstable man would have chosen to simply “seek God” for the mantle of kingship rather than serve the office of a man who wishes them dead.
Some things will never come to you unless you are positioned. It is disciplined spirits that remain positioned.
FURTHER STUDY: Ecclesiastes 10:4; 1 Samuel 24:6
GOLDEN NUGGET: Some things will never come to you unless you are positioned. It is disciplined spirits that remain positioned.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You because I am planted and positioned rightly. My spirit is tamed to endure what I must, to have self-control over my emotions and attitudes, and to never miss out on what has been ordained for me through pride, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Romans 10:9 (KJV): That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
WHAT IS SALVATION?
Salvation is increasingly being misunderstood in our times.
Some erroneously assume that it is some form of religion, whereas it is not. Also, some Christians are quick to write off other believers because they do not conform to their version of what it means to be saved.
But I tell you for a fact that I have seen believers in non-Pentecostal faiths who are saved and born again, but I have also seen people who are not Born Again in all these faiths.
What should be the common denominator? It is the confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and believing in His death and resurrection.
In 1 Timothy 2:4, the Bible says that God “will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
You can have a saved non-Pentecostal who simply has not come to the knowledge of the truth, even a saved Pentecostal Christian who is far from the knowledge of the truth.
Unfortunately, you may get fixated on converting the saved non-Pentecostal to your version of what it means to be saved and lose out on the big picture.
We should focus more on drawing people into a life of relationship and communion with God. The deeper one goes into a relationship with the Lord, the more the barriers of religion fall away.
Hallelujah!

Genesis 28:16-19 (KJV): And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
THE GOD OF THE HOUSE
In Jacob’s experience narrated in our theme scripture, he built an altar and called the place Bethel, which in Hebrew is translated to mean ‘house of God.’
However, this was not all there was to what he was meant to see and understand.
In Genesis 35, God brings him back to this very same place but opens his eyes to a much deeper revelation than merely the house of God.
The Bible says in verses 5-7, “.....God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is Bethel, he and all the people that were with him. And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him when he fled from the face of his brother.”
This time, when Jacob built an altar, he called the place ‘El Bethel.’ This in Hebrew is translated to mean “the God of the house.”
The lesson here is that a relationship with God is much deeper than where you pray, which church you belong to, or which religious umbrella you subscribe to. The ultimate question is, do you know God as you ought?
You can build the most magnificent cathedral, yet if it does not have the God of the house in it, all you will have is a structure without the divine presence. You may have the most organized institution with the right systems to run it, but without the God of the house, it is nothing more than a shell.
To know God is the highest call for any believer. It is what true Christians devote their lives to. It is the loftiest of ideals and the center of meaning.
Hallelujah!

Genesis 3:15 (KJV): And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS
The devil has always had an issue with the woman.
Our theme scripture speaks of an enmity, a war, a consistent hostility between her and the devil. This was not spoken concerning the man.
This is why a woman needs to know how to pray.
In fact, in a marriage, it is more dangerous to the relationship if a woman is not one of prayer.
I know of women who had the craziest husbands, given to all manner of madness. When those women got on their knees and started to pray, their husbands got back in line.
I know mothers whose children were uncontrollable and rebellious. But when those mothers committed their children to God in fervent prayer, these drug-addicted, alcohol-consuming, disrespectful children became different human beings.
As a woman, your biggest attack shall always be in the area of prayer.
Simply audit your life. You will realize that the devil is very keen to frustrate the prayer life of a woman.
He knows what happens when a woman prays; it is no ordinary occurrence–a womb is praying.
Woman, never underestimate the power of your prayer; by it, you can change anything!
Hallelujah!

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
THE POWER OF A WOMAN
The devil understands the potential of women more than many women know their potential. He fights them because he knows what they are capable of.
For example, the enemy is and will always be perplexed by the mystery of our theme scripture.
Never before in human history had it ever been recorded that a woman could bring forth a child without the involvement of a man and his seed. Yet, no man can bring forth a child without a woman's participation.
This truth has a very practical application in daily life.
If the seed represents the Word like Luke 8:11 says, then as a woman, you must understand that God has given you the ability to do great things without having to entirely depend on or be at the mercy of a man.
I am writing to that single woman who thinks she cannot raise her children well because their father is irresponsible. You can do it!
I am writing to that married woman whose husband left the home, and she is trying to make ends meet for her family. Don't get into a pity party and stake your survival on his return. You can make it!
If you have the Word, you can take care of your children, build a business, and provide for your family.

Acts 10:13-16 (KJV): And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
THE GOD ABOVE THE FAMILIAR
When God is doing something new, you must be alert enough so that you do not get stuck in the familiar like Peter was.
You may assume that the familiar has limited power over you until you analyze Peter's reaction to God's instructions in our theme scripture.
How was it possible for the Lord to ask Peter to do something three times and his servant to answer no adamantly?
Most interestingly, Peter knew it was his master speaking to him, but that was not enough to change his mind. He had been conditioned since birth in the familiar, and nothing was about to change that.
I believe Peter missed a critical milestone in his destiny simply because of his response.
This comes as a warning to us, children of God.
Never limit God to only what you know, regardless of how long you have known it.
He can surprise you tomorrow, and you must be ready to let go of old perceptions and embrace the new.

Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Philippians 3:8; Isaiah 43:19
GOLDEN NUGGET: Never limit God to only what you know, regardless of how long you have known it. He can surprise you tomorrow, and you must be ready to let go of old perceptions and embrace the new.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. This knowledge works in my life and shapes my response to the unfamiliar. I will never miss You in the things I do not understand but will see You even in what I have never seen or known, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Acts 10:9-11 (KJV): On the morrow, as they went on their journey and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners and let down to the earth.
GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS
In our theme scripture, the Bible speaks of a vessel descending upon Peter like a sheet knit at the four corners.
The use of ‘four corners’ is not coincidental. These represented the four corners of the earth. What God was planning to do as portrayed in this vision to Peter was meant to touch the entire world. God was introducing a dispensation that was not exclusive to Jews alone but involved the whole of humanity because He is no respecter of persons.
Today, this truth has never been more apparent.
Israel used to think it was the only nation favored by God, but the Lord proved that all the Gentile nations were in His divine plan.
People used to think God only used white men, but history has proven that He can call black men too. He uses Asians, Hispanics, Germans, Indians, Chinese, or Australians. He can use anyone.
What God is doing in our day is not restricted to race or nation. It is for the entire world. His purpose and plan is seeking a man or woman who knows that the Lord is not limited by the color of his skin or the boundaries of his country.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Acts 10:34-35; Colossians 3:11
GOLDEN NUGGET: What God is doing in our day is not restricted to race or nation. It is for the entire world. His purpose and plan is seeking a man or woman who knows that the Lord is not limited by the color of his skin or the boundaries of his country.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for choosing me and finding me worthy of the call and ministry. You did not look at my station in life, education, or height. You chose me despite my weaknesses and the things that disqualified me. For this, I am humbled. I serve You with the deepest gratitude, now and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

THE GOD IN THE COMMON I
Sometimes people miss God because they despise what is in their eyes ‘common.’
If the Lord must use you greatly, you have to learn to see Him even in what you perceive as unextraordinary.
Some Christians have failed to move to the next level of their destinies because they cannot see God in the weak. Their perception of Him is only in the strong. They cannot see Him in the uneducated because they have only seen Him in the educated. They cannot see Him in the unprivileged because they have only seen Him in the privileged.
In 1 Corinthians 1:27, Paul tells us, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”
Speaking of how God calls men, he said, “For [simply] consider your own call, brethren; not many [of you were considered to be] wise according to human estimates and standards, not many influential and powerful, not many of high and noble birth.” (1 Corinthians 1:26 AMPC).
God tends to appear through the least expected people and in the least expected places. If you have tunnel vision of Him, divine opportunities will likely pass you by.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for choosing me and separating me for the sake of the gospel. You did not look at my inadequacies. I was not the best, but Lord, You chose me. By this same wisdom, I see You even in the most unspectacular places or people, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

THE GOD IN THE COMMON II
God uses both the 'common' and the 'uncommon'.
However, some people who are advantaged and privileged, in this instance 'uncommon' miss him because they allow the aspects of their privilege to frustrate the vision of who they can become in God.
For example, your education status may make you uncommon. Your title may make you uncommon. Your blue-blooded family background may make you uncommon.
All these things in themselves are NOT bad, but they can become major stumbling blocks if you perceive them as what qualifies you before God.
It is good to be highly educated but in the arena of divine purpose, it is not enough. It should not blind you to the heights you can transcend in God.
Thank God for your wonderful family background and history but it's not what makes you worthy of a great assignment.
Humility demands that the 'uncommon' forget what makes them so, and look beyond their accolades to God alone, who qualifies any man.
Hallelujah!

May nothing that I own or the places I have been stand as a hindrance to Your work. I set aside crowns and laurels in exchange for deeper realities in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Philippians 2:19-22 (KJV): But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
FATHERS TO SONS
In your service to God, it is always important to do some soul-searching.
Are you looking out for yourself or what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cares about?
Ask yourself the genuine question–why do you do the things that you do? Is it a quest for the favor of men, recognition by others, or the pursuit of things closest to God’s heart?
This kind of reflection makes the difference between sons in the household of Christ and mere servants. Ministries stand on the shoulders of men and women with genuine care for the people they serve.
We are not in the ministry to drive the most expensive cars or buy large mansions. We are not serving God to get spouses or good jobs.
We do not serve for titles, recognition, and the applause of men. We are here because our hearts beat after the things that Jesus Christ cares about.
May God deal with our hearts and point us again to the things that matter to Him.
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: My Lord, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for helping me to understand why I do what I do. I break before You that I may serve You with a pure and genuine spirit, that I will not seek my own but hunger for the things that define Your heartbeat, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
