Have ye seen this. ... this affects all of rural Ireland.

The public transport fare reductions will apply to Bus Éireann (who abandoned Roscrea last year), but won't apply to our only remaining Dublin Limerick service (JJ Kavanagh buses).. further downgrading and penalising rural towns and those of us affected. Doesn't seem fair to me.

All part of the ongoing deliberate destruction of rural Ireland, and consolidation of the mega transport corporations... it seems to me 🤔

Earlier today in the Dáil,the Rural Independent Group called for a debate on private coach operators being excluded from the Reduced Fare Scheme in addition to the urgent need for subsidies for these operators, many of whom provide school transport throughout Ireland. Our proposal was put to a vote but unfortunately this vote was defeated by Government who chose not to debate this very important and urgent issue. Myself and my colleagues will continue to pursue this matter with Government and the Minister for Transport who needs to wake up and provide support to private coach operators who provide much needed transport in Rural Ireland and who now need assistance

Well here it is folks the Rural Independent group call a vote just now in the Dail on extending the recent 20% and 50% reductions on travel for our youth to the Private operators only to be opposed by Foanna Fail TDs Fine Gael and the Greens. These same TDs have been been crying crocodile tears in there constituencies in the past week but when it was time to stand with the people they backed the party leaving great bus private operators like West Cork Connect struggling to keep going.

Please share and attend to assert the truth and confront the criminally lying state propagandists.
