I posted this two weeks ago in this group ... and comments were blocked ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ... search 'migration' in well kid

There needs to be a mature rational debate allowing all opinions to be expressed and heard regarding the desperately serious issues that we all face in this country.
At the moment it seems that only certain views are allowed to be heard.

Every town and village is being affected and I don't remember us the people being asked about these things .. especially mass immigration. Were you consulted or asked before Minister Charlie Flanagan TD or was it Coveney signed the 'Marrakesh Compact' on migration.
There was no debate , not even in Leinster House and the media kept it very quite.
Now we see the repercussions. Well was it a good idea ?

I don't think that this madness is helping anyone.
There needs to be an open, healthy discussion.. that would be a start in helping to resolve the issue.
And don't pretend that there isn't an issue.

Roscrea and all the rest of the country has been massively affected.
Let people talk, being respectful of the person, if not their views or actions.

URGENT

The media are reporting today that a MIGRANT is the main suspect in a brutal rape in Fermoy, the same place that yesterday's PRO MIGRANT demo took place

THIS is what these people support and want for your families

Video of a section of the highly significant Defend Free Speech People's Rally in Dublin on Saturday that was organised by Roscrea man Peter Madden.
Have a listen to some great speakers and powerful speeches...

''Hate speech legislation is the Irish State using grammar to trick the people out of their freedoms to debate and live freely in Ireland. The government of Ireland are using a very sinister and hateful approach to once again deceive and slip in tyranny tactics to undo Irelands Heritage Culture and Identity that will destroy Irelands standing in the Nations as a neutral and peaceful People!''

A Peopleโ€™s Referendum On EU Immigration Policy.

East Wall residents demand a Referendum on the refugee Centre.

We refer to our previous posts that Ireland, like Denmark, currently has no European Union obligation to take in refugees as it has an opt-in or opt-out clause on individual proposals in the areas of freedom, security and justice through the EU Treaty of Lisbon.

This means that the State has a voluntary agreement with the EU on receiving refugees.

Denmark have held a number of Referendums on their opt-in or opt-out EU clauses.

If the State held a Referendum on opting-in or out of cooperation with the EU Immigration Policy under the Lisbon Treaty it would mean the people of Ireland would have a say on the future of our island.

What is becoming increasingly clear is that democracy is an illusion. The State pay merely lip service to the three hallmarks of a democracy, openness, transparency and accountability.

In a truly democratic society a Referendum would be held on this issue of significant public interest rather than the State hiding behind a smokescreen of a 'voluntary agreement' with the EU on immigration policies.

Countries of origin for asylum seekers from Jan to Aug 2022.

๐Ÿ”นThe top 5 countries of origin are Georgia, Somalia, Algeria, Zimbabwe & Nigeria.

๐Ÿ”นTwo thirds of applicants are male.

๐Ÿ”น17.8% are minors.

๐Ÿ”น More asylum seekers arrived from the top four countries of origin than every other country combined.

๐Ÿ”น There were six asylum requests from UK citizens.

๐Ÿ”น Somalia aside, none of the top five countries have high refugee grant rates although rates for Zimbabweans fluctuate.

๐Ÿ”นIn 2018, 3% of Georgians were granted refugee status as were 5% of Nigerians when they also featured in the top 5 list.

๐Ÿ”นIn 2017, not one Georgian, Nigerian, or Algerian was granted refugee status when they all featured in the top ten.

๐Ÿ”นIn 2018, 14% Zimbabweans were granted refugee status. Last year the figure was 27.6% while in 2017, it was 67%.

๐Ÿ”น93% of Somalians were granted refugee status in 2021 while the rest got subsidiary protection so they all were all eligible to apply for family reunification.
