*THE CAPACITY TO PRAY*
*_And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1)_*
This chapter of the gospel according to Luke shares a parable Jesus narrated to His hearers concerning a widow in desperate need for justice. This widow relayed her need to this judge who had no fear of God nor regarded any man. He was so strict that he had no respect for anyone. But the persistence of the widow changed the situation. She followed hard on this judge with her request till she was heard. She went again and again untill she got what she needed. Learn to pray again.
For some situations, praying once may not be enough. Learn to pray repeatedly. Her consistency and persistence caught the atttention of the judge. Elijah too prayed severally till it rained. He first prayed that it shouldn’t rain. He then prayed again that it should rain but it wasn’t raining so he continued till it rained. (1 Kings 18:43). You need to build capacity never to give up but to pray untill you see results.
It is bad to give up praying. Many things will attempt to discourage you from praying consistently. But fight them and pray again. Daniel prayed and fasted yet got nothing. Nevertheless, he continued till an angel showed up with the answer. He was told the Lord heard him the first day he prayed but evil forces delayed his answer. If he had given up he wouldn’t have seen results. Pray again!
*DECREE*
_I choose to pray without quitting. I have the capacity to pray. My prayer life is strengthened by grace. I will not cease to travail in Jesus’ name. Glory!_

*THE GOODNESS OF GOD*
*_Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:17~ NLT)_*
God is good! He is good indeed! How and when do we say and feel the goodness of God? Many people know and appreciate the goodness of God only when things are well with them. When things seem to fall apart, they do not acknowledge the goodness of God any more. But beloved you ought to understand that whether things go well or not, God is Good. Because He knows how to make even the devil work for you. Yes!
God is good when you’re happy and enjoying. He is equally good when your are broke. Because, His goodness is not defined by a man’s feeling. The Bible says, *“God doesn’t change”* (Numbers 23:19). We need to tune our minds to align with His nature of goodness. Acknowledge His goodness daily. Don’t give up on God, no matter the state of your life. He is good. Just align and enjoy His goodness.
When you begin to believe in His goodness in any area of your life, you will realize that the devil cannot get your attention. Nothing can be withheld from a man who believes in the goodness of God. There is nothing you can take from such a person to make him curse God. Job never cursed God for all he went through, because he knew the goodness of God. Hallelujah!

*TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE GOSPEL*
*_And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up . (Deuteronomy 6:7)_*
I love the Amplified version of our theme verse, *“You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.”* This is the Lord instructing Israel to keep His statutes and commands. Here, He meticulously commanded His people on this.
We find ourselves in a corrupt and perverse world; where children are now the target of the devil; where our educational, and media systems are deliberately infiltrated with strange imaginations; and things that exalt self against the knowledge of God. It becomes pertinent for us also to be deliberate and persistent in teaching our young ones the statutes and commands of the Lord.
Never leave the nurturing of your children in the hands of another. It is a responsibility that ought not to be handed over to another. God wants you to resound in the ears of your children, His goodness, mercy and loving care, so that they will love Him with their all their hearts from childhood. It takes a deliberate and persistent teaching of the Gospel to keep our children in Christ.

_I teach my home to know Christ. My mind is the workshop of the Spirit. My world is enlightened. I refuse to be deceived in Jesus’ name. Glory to God!_

*_Consider ships as well. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot is inclined. (James 3:4)_*
By your words, you set your life on course. Your words play a major role in your greatness and longevity. The tongue is a small part of the human body but it directs your whole body. Mind what you say because the tongue by itself doesn’t speak. It utters the abundant things in your heart. This means, what you accumulate in your heart is what your tongues will utter.
If you habour evil, you can only speak evil. The same is true for good. It will be easy to bring forth good. No spoken word is idle. Being born in God’s image makes us creators. As the world was created with words, so do we create our world with words. Every word goes to create, and man will render an account of whatever word he or she created. What are you saying? Are your words filled with grace?
A man can easily be identified by the words he speak. Your current state is by your words. It behoves on every man to tame his tongue. A wise man listens keenly and speaks less. He chooses his words carefully. Learn to say the right words. The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (James 3:6). Amen!

*_I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, ...; but time and chance happeneth to them all. (Eccleciastes 9:11)_*
Everyone must diligently manage every piece that makes up their life. It is one sure way to rise. Time, chance, opportunities happen to us all. Your ability to manage it makes the difference. Realize that nobody has more than required, but how each person handles what they receive determines its abundance or scarcity. What you have is enough to make you great only if you learn life’s management principles. It’s not about the academic programs you pursued but the wisdom of application.
The advantage every man has is time and chance. Jesus said *“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”* (John 9:4). Apostle Paul added *“Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”* (Ephesians 5:15-17). The ability to manage time will enrich one or impoverish another, make one successful and another a failure.
God won’t do it for you. It’s your duty. The parable of the talents shows one that worked with his, and another that buried his. Time awaits no man; the future is now! Don’t think you have more time. Arise!

_I fulfil purpose. I am effective, efficient and productive because the spirit quickens my mortal body. I am complete in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!_

*YOU DECIDE BY YOUR FAITH*
*_For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4)_*
*Ye are of God, little children and have overcome them, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world“* (1 John 4:4). Nothing declared by God’s Word concerning your victory is anymore His duty. It has already been established. It is now yours to enforce it. He has given you His Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. Yes! He will lead you if you allow Him to. As much as it is the will of God for you to prosper, He will never force you.
*“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”* (Joshua 1:8). To be prosperous and have good success, depends on you. *“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”* (Mark 9:23)
The victory, success, prosperity, health and all the good and precious things will manifest in you by faith. “...for God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). It is by your faith you conquer the world. Work your faith. Speak boldly the rhema that comes to you through the meditation of the Word.

*_For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4)_*
*Ye are of God, little children and have overcome them, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world“* (1 John 4:4). Nothing declared by God’s Word concerning your victory is anymore His duty. It has already been established. It is now yours to enforce it. He has given you His Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. Yes! He will lead you if you allow Him to. As much as it is the will of God for you to prosper, He will never force you.
*“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”* (Joshua 1:8). To be prosperous and have good success, depends on you. *“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”* (Mark 9:23)
The victory, success, prosperity, health and all the good and precious things will manifest in you by faith. “...for God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). It is by your faith you conquer the world. Work your faith. Speak boldly the rhema that comes to you through the meditation of the Word.

*YOU ARE THE ANSWER TO YOUR WORLD*
*_Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3)_*
One of the blessings we have in Christ is that, we’ve been made an answer to the cry of many. The reason you weren’t raptured when you got born again is because of this truth. He left us here as an extension of His love and goodness. Without us in the world, there will be no glory, righteousness and the goodness of God in this world. When natural men call on God, we are sent as answers to them. *“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?”* (John 10:34)
When you walk in this reality you will know how much of a blessing you are to the world. He made us *the salt and the light of the earth;* as salt we must preserve the earth and as light, we ought to radiate light before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-26).
You are called to show the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers, who cause much suffering today. This is the eternal purpose of God in Christ Jesus. Jesus became poor that you might become rich as an answer to the cry of many poor men. You have a responsibility and you owe it to your generation. Don’t forget you will render accounts when you appear before God. Be an answer to your world today. Amen!

*THE ACT OF LOOKING*
*_Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)_*
The word *“Looking”* here is translated from the Greek word *“aphoraó”* (af-or-ah’-o). It’s a verb from two Greek words, *‘Apo’* and *‘horao’*, which means to consider attentively, behold, to be aware, or something becoming visible. The theme verse tells us to consider attentively Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith.
When the children of Israel were bitten by snakes, God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and raise it on a pole so that anyone bitten who looks to it would be healed. (Numbers 21:8-9). All they had to do was to look. There is something about looking. What you pay attention to really matters. The things you keep on seeing, becomes your awareness, thoughts and confession.
When you look, things appear real to you. When you stop looking you lose it. Quantum physics says it disappears. When God wants to lift you, he changes your perspective. Your ability to look at things differently is what we call maturity. Do you want to be free of sin and addiction? Vacate its habitat so you don’t behold them any more. Until you stop looking, you cannot truly escape its influence. Migrate into the place of righteousness today!

*<And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)_*
You have God’s power in you as His child. Don’t allow circumstances to buffet you, rather, you should affect situations. When you read the preceeding verses of our theme scripture, you will realize that the Spirit of God intercedes for us according to God’s will. (Romans 8:26-27). As a result, every condition of our lives altogether works to our advantage according to God’s will for us.
You may encounter an impossible situation in life. But don’t give in to it so long as it’s not consistent with God’s Word. Only let your mind accept what the Word says about that situation. Confess God’s Word, align your heart with it, and expect things to work for your good. Maybe, at the workplace, you chose a godly stance in a particular matter and others want to oppose you.
Don’t worry. Just act on God’s Word. Take the matter into prayer. The Holy Spirit will take over as you pray fervently. That scheme meant for your downfall will be manipulated by the Holy Spirit for your good. There was a man called Haman, who desired to annihilate Israel. Eventually, his evil plans bounced back to him. It turned out for the good of God’s people. Beloved, your life has been programmed the same way. Amen!

_I belong to God. All things work for my good. Nothing prevails against me. Every condition of my life is meant to lift me up. I stay in God’s will. Amen!_
