ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਚੋਣ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਲਿਕਅਰਜੁਨ ਖੜਗੇ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਲ 7,897 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਥਰੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ 1072 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਥਰੂਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਾਰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
