ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਵੱਲੋਂ 31 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ 6 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਹਫ਼ਤਾ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ/ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਭਵਨ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁਕਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

ਕੈਪਟਨ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸੰਧੂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਫਰਾਰ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ, ਜੇਕਰ ਖੇਡ ਕਿੱਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਆਰ.ਓ. ਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੜਬੜੀ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸੰਧੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੁੱਗਣੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ (ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ) ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਆਸ਼ੂ, ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰ ਤੇਲੂ ਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਏਜੰਟ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਲ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਵਧੀਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਜੱਜ ਡਾ: ਅਜੀਤ ਅਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾਨ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹੋਂ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੱਢੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ (ਜੇ.ਈ.) ਨੂੰ 50,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
