🚨🇨🇺PSL STATEMENT: Cuba is not a threat –– End the blockade!

Donald Trump’s January 29 Executive Order declaring Cuba “an unusual and extraordinary threat” to the United States is an absurdly false pretext designed to intensify the suffering of the Cuban people in the pursuit of regime change.

The only real threat comes from the U.S. government, which is attempting to impose its domination over the entire western hemisphere in line with the so-called “Trump corollary” to the imperial Monroe Doctrine.

‼️BREAKING: San Antonio Federal Judge Fred Biery issued an order to release Liam Ramos and his father, Adrian Arias, from federal custody by Tuesday. This order comes one day after the nationwide shutdown against ICE terror on January 30. Tens of thousands of Texans across Waco, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, San Marcos and more took to the streets to demand ICE out of our cities and justice for Liam Ramos, Renee Good, Alex Pretti and all victims of the racist deportation machine.

Judge Fred Biery's order to release Liam Ramos is not a product of him as an individual politician. Really, this victory is a result of the movement – the massive march on the Dilley Detention Center, the student walkouts across the country, and the nationwide shutdown. If it were not for the people taking to the streets, our politicians would just continue business as usual. It's the people who have the power to stop ICE and the racist deportation machine!

Claudia De la Cruz joined 25,000+ in the streets of NYC and millions across the country for yesterday’s nationwide shutdown against ICE terror.

“The Trump administration wants to tell us that we should be afraid; that we should be intimidated; that we need to back down. But if there is one thing that is certain — it’s that ICE melts!”

✊🏾Today marks the beginning of the 100th celebration of Black History Month. This milestone comes at a crucial time — a time of intense struggle over historical truth.

The Trump administration is conducting a white supremacist rewrite of American history. The legacy of Black struggle and achievement is being erased in favor of a mythical retelling of the history of the United States that denies the horrors of racism. Public recognition of the crimes of slavery is being suppressed, historic freedom fighters are slandered, and the enduring effects of white supremacist oppression are denied.

All month, we will be highlighting aspects of Black history that the Trump administration wants to bury. The struggle over the past is the struggle over the future!
