"The only answer is vote the bastards out in the next election."
A garda who has been stationed in Newtownmountkennedy to block protesters from accessing the asylum seeker camp, sympathises with protesters and says he's not happy being there as he's just pissing normal people off, but would get sacked if he refused his orders.
He also says about half the asylum seekers in the camp have already gone back to Dublin.

The Indo has interviewed several Palestinians who had been living in Jordan but are now claiming asylum in Ireland, suggesting this phenomenon is increasing.
Pictured is Mahmoud Al-Azab, the man I spotlighted three weeks back who told an English vlogger that he got into Ireland by first applying for an "ETA visa" to the UK. He'd been living in a village in Jordan for 16 years.
So they're not coming over the English channel in small boats and have nothing to do with French or EU policies. Here's the trick: He said this "ETA visa" prohibits him from claiming asylum in the UK.
Jordan was added to UKโs Electronic Travel Authorisation scheme on Feb 22nd. It costs ยฃ10 and is for visitors from various Arab countries who have good relations with the UK to facilitate short trips.
The scheme's factsheet also advises applicants: "The UK will not operate routine immigration controls on journeys from within the Common Travel Area, with no immigration controls whatsoever on the Ireland-Northern Ireland land border."

Apparently the Garda checkpoints near the border are little more than a taxi service to Dublin.
Also: "we canโt stop people arriving here because it would encourage people to support the far right."

I have to agree with the new mayor of Derry. The history of Africans has been erased in Ireland.
Their history here is a perverse form of colonisation where they imposed themselves on us through the abuse of the asylum system while being trained to call us racists (or now terrorists in the mayor's case) to try to silence our objections.
You won't see that acknowledged in any current history book or taught to students during Black History month.

>Drivers on the popular Dublin Express route report that each journey carries an average of eight asylum seekers making the two-and-a-half-hour trip south. This surge began about six months ago and shows no signs of slowing down.
>With 17 trips a day from Belfast to Dublin, and an estimated 2,125 journeys so far this year, the coaches may have transported as many as 17,000 asylum seekers in 2024 alone.
>One driver for Dublin Express shared his frustration with the recent increase in asylum seekers using fake tickets to board the coaches.
>"Theyโre often travelling using a photograph of a ticket that has clearly been bought by someone else," he said. "We can tell because theyโre all using the same name, but itโs hard to stop because we donโt scan the tickets."
Sources have also told me that buses are now taking migrants from Dover to Scotland to catch the ferry to the north and then a bus to Longford or Galway.

Massive support already for a 'Rwanda type' plan in Ireland.
That's a big vote winner. However, there are some problems with the UK deal which Ireland should not seek to replicate.
Rwanda are refusing immigrants with criminal records, families or anyone under 18. That would need to change. Any children they had here would need to go too.
Any plan should be retroactive back to at least 1997.
As part of the UK deal, the UK said they would accept an unspecified number of the "most vulnerable refugees" currently in Rwanda. We obviously shouldn't sign up to anything like that.
The UK is paying Rwanda an upfront payment of ยฃ120 million and ยฃ20K to ยฃ30k for each relocation. We could offer more considering the different terms. We paid โฌ2.1 Billion just to house asylum seekers last year never mind the societal damage on top of everything else.
This would solve our housing crisis too, freeing up all the homes we gave them.
