A Child Rescue Ireland Alert has been cancelled after five-month-old Daisy Hall has been found safe and well following a carjacking in Dublin.

Shortly before 2pm today the baby’s mother was standing outside her silver Nissan Qashqai in the Gardiner Street when a male suspect hijacked the vehicle with the baby inside in the back seat.

An MMA fighter from Straight Blast Gym rescued a woman from an assault at a car park off Roe Lane in Dublin last night.

"As I drove into the car park, something felt wrong. My instincts kicked in, and I quickly put on my shoes, ready for whatever might come next. Then I saw it, a girl caught in a nightmare, cornered and under attack. Without a second thought, I sprinted toward them, my focus only on stopping this guy in his tracks. With a surge of adrenaline, I intervened, pulling him away and holding him down. ‘Run!’ I called to her, and she didn’t hesitate, dashing off to safety. Once he was out cold, I tracked her down, making sure she reached her destination safe and sound."
