Heartbreaking scene from Newtownmountkennedy on Monday when gardaรญ shoved local residents off their road.
"It's our road, we walk on it every day and now these guys are going to be walking on it because of you. Are you happy now? They're all going to be walking these roads because of you. You are helping them. I can't even move out of my house now once they come."
"You are supposed to protect us not put them in here."
"This is our village. We are trying to protect our families."
"My daughter can't walk this road anymore. None of us can."

A Palestinian who has been living in Jordan for 16 years explains the route he took to arrive in Dublin to file an asylum claim.
The man says he applied for an ETA visa to travel to the UK, then left his family in Jordan, spent three days in London and took an EasyJet flight to Belfast where he spent another three days before travelling down to Dublin. He said he had all his arrangements pre-booked in Jordan.
When asked why he did not stay in Britain, he replied that the visa he received to enter the UK prohibits him from working or applying for asylum there.
The man had been living in Irbid Camp in Jordan. Though it is called a camp, it is not a series of tents. It's a village of the type you see anywhere in the Middle East built specifically for Palestinians and with services provided by the UN's Relief and Works Agency.
There are over 2.2 million Palestinians living in Jordan. They could all do the same. This is what settler colonialism looks like.

Reminder that asylum seekers from Somalia, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Libya, Sudan, Yemen and Syria are expedited through the asylum system in Ireland and are granted refugee status in 99% of cases.

๐น Somalia 16.36 million
๐น Afghanistan 39.84 million
๐น Eritrea 6.08 million
๐น Libya 6.96 million
๐น Sudan 44.91 million
๐น Yemen 20.49 million
๐น Syria 22.13 million
That's a pool of 153 million people who could travel to Ireland, be granted refugee status and then apply for family reunification.
The open border activists, NGOs and politicians love to talk about their human rights, but always neglect ours.
We have a human right not to be displaced.

This is Justice Minister Helen McEntee debating Senator Michael McDowell two days before the referendum on changing the legal definition of family in the constitution to any durable relationship.
McEntee here promised that there would not be serious consequences in regards to family reunification schemes for migrants if the referendum passed.
But according to documents retrieved by Gript, senior officials in the Department of Justice were warned by staff working in immigration that if the legal definition of family was broadened, it would massively restrict the Stateโs ability to regulate its immigration system, increase litigation and create massive legal costs to the Department and to the State facing challenges in the courts.
So McEntee is either not briefed by her officials, doesn't listen to them, or was lying. Whichever it is, she has got to go.

Independent local election candidate for Castleisland, Michelle Keane, has received a call from Sgt Melanie Walsh from Listowel Garda Station asking her to come in for "a chat" over complaints she received about the rhetoric in some of Keane's online posts over what she's calling "the foreign nationals coming into the country".
Keane recorded the phone call.
On Wednesday outside Leinster House, Keane called for the deportation of illegal, undocumented, scum-of-the-earth criminals who have raped women and tortured children throughout the world.
"We do not want these people and they should be deported back on the plane out of this country."

During a press event on knife crime yesterday, Ben Scallan asked Justice Minister Helen McEntee if she was aware of a UK report which found a high correlation between people who enjoy drill music and gangland murder.
She wasn't.
But don't say nobody warned you.

This week, St Maryโs Primary School on Dorset St in Dublin was being celebrated for becoming the first school to be divested from the patronage of the Catholic Church to the Educate Together NGO.
Thereโs been a big drive to divest more, but a majority of parents of the children in any school have to agree to it.
This has hindered the process as a majority of Irish parents, even where they are not interested in a Catholic ethos, still prefer their children to attend a Catholic school rather than be subjected to the ethos of an Educate Together one.
In 2018, RTร ran the report above about how at least 90% of the pupils in St. Maryโs are now foreign. According to the CSO, just 7% of local residents described themselves as โwhite Irishโ.
This is how they solve their problem.

In her 2002 election campaign flyer for Dublin South-Central, รine Nรญ Chonaill of Immigration Control Platform predicted that in a decade, the foreign-born population of Dublin would reach 20%.
The media accused her of spreading hate.
By 2011, Dublin City was 21% foreign-born.

In 2004, Peader Tรณibรญn campaigned against the referendum on birthright citizenship, claiming most people on the doors opposed it because Irish people had "a great ability to relate the the new immigrant population."
79% of voters subsequently voted to pass the referendum, removing the constitutional right for foreign women to give birth in Ireland and claim Irish citizenship for their child.
In 2019, Tรณibรญn voted on a bill to restore birthright citizenship, ignoring the will of the people, along with Carol Nolan and Mattie McGrath.
