Locals in Newtownmountkennedy have their camp set up on private land belonging to a farmer across from the River Lodge but gardaí are refusing to let them stand there.

Good to see RTÉ being called out for their dishonest reporting of protests though.

Previously, RTÉ downplayed the numbers at the massive Coolock protest and claimed it wasn't representative of the community. No protesters were interviewed, only NGOs and a Labour councillor who weren't there. No footage was shown to RTÉ viewers even though it was attended by the same cameraman who gets called out in clip 1 above while flanked by gardaí.

In clip 3, a garda insists an independent citizen journalist who is standing on private property and has a good clear shot has to move.

Gardaí trying to use section 21 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act to prevent protesters from getting within 1km of River Lodge but this can only be used if there's an event taking place or about to take place and it can only be for the purpose of diverting people by other means to access the event.

For the benefit of the blow-in who thinks Newtownmountkennedy is going to be able to environmental impact assessment their way out of this:

The Irish people are outsiders to nowhere on this island and do not require an invitation to oppose the plantation of one square inch. However, members of the community have also repeatedly put out calls for support.

Kevin Haig was also heavily quoted in the Daily Mail today and was on East Coast radio this morning with the usual subversive blather about how the protesters are just concerned about the welfare of the asylum seekers. He even said the village welcomed multiculturalism.

‘We’ve had the odd politician – and I use that word loosely – down here with a megaphone screaming “Ireland for the Irish” but we know their politics are all over the place. We’re not interested in politics,’ he added.

Does the local mother in this clip look like she was sobbing to Senator Pat Casey because she was worried the village only has one dentist?

How come the media can never find locals like Shannon to interview? Does she sound like her primary concern is the leisure activities accessible to asylum seekers?

"We're sending out a plea for help. We cannot let this happen. Our lives are at jeopardy...It's not going to be safe here. If these get in here, this time next week, the crime-rate in Newtown is going to be skyrocketing. In a month's time, it won't even be the town it used to be...

"If them men get in, there'll be a lot of people who want to up and move. It's not going to be safe here, so this is a plea for help. I'm begging you. There are so many women and children and even men here that are absolutely heart-broken about what went on here today."

"We're just looking for help, lads. If anyone could do anything to support us. Share this live[stream], share a few posts. Come up even if you can for ten minutes. We're a friendly bunch up here. We're all just like yourselves, have families, kids, jobs..."

"I'm a plumber. I'm not a public speaker. I go to work, I do my job, I go home. I play a bit of football as a pastime and that's probably the height of my life.

"Some people would say it's a pathetic life but I love it. I have a good partner there, I have a good family and I have a good group of friends. I want it to continue like that.

"But here I am on a Monday evening in the rain, standing outside a hotel in my hometown, trying to protect it, and trying not to have it given over to people willy-fucking-nilly so that a couple of fellas can make a lot of money."

FYI: The owner of St John's House in Tallaght which has been earmarked to accommodate asylum seekers is Kintrona LTD.

Kintrona also have an address in Doughcloyne Industrial Estate on Sarsfield Road in Cork like Peppard Investments LTD who managed the renovation of Zurich House in Blackrock for asylum seekers.

Derek Blighe visited that address, which is attached to an Interior Designers last October, but wasn't received very warmly.

According to the London Times in 2019, Kintrona LTD raised €21m from private investors and Finance Ireland, a non-bank lender, to buy Zurich House and the neighbouring Blackrock Hall, as well as St John’s House in Tallaght.

St John's House was bought for €8.1m. After renovating it, Kintrona LTD planned to double the rent of the office block to more than €1.1m and estimated it could be worth €13.9m, but have possibly discovered that housing asylum seekers was even more lucrative.

"Ballina is dying a slow death. Every day you go through the town, there's people you never seen before. That's not a bad thing. It's great to have tourists in the town, but these people aren't contributing to the town one little bit. They're sitting on street corners. They're hanging around. They're doing very little. They're being bussed from post to pillar and they're getting in the way."

"The only way we're going to stop this is people power. There's no other way about it."

Next protest in Ballina is on Wednesday at 2pm outside the Mayo County Council offices in Ballina. Following that, a major protest is planned for Saturday at 3pm at the Twin Trees Hotel.

Ballina man standing in the local elections recommends four or five people stand in every town to take the seats off the main parties.

"Our towns are being destroyed. They're being over-populated. The indigenous are being watered down. We're losing our rights. It's a spit in the face to our own people who are homeless.

"We need a new form of politics and new politicians....We're going to have to put a stop this. Our country is destroyed."

"Go as independents. Just stop them. Take the seats and mess the whole thing up for them."

Independent local election candidate for Castleisland, Michelle Keane, has called for the deportation of illegal, undocumented scum-of-the-earth criminals who have raped women and tortured children throughout the world.

"We do not want these people and they should be deported back on the plane out of this country."

Keane also said the €800 a month which the Irish government provides to landlords who are willing to house Ukrainians has made it impossible for young people to afford anywhere to rent.

"We have to start here at the grassroots level in Ireland and look after our own Irish people. We've had enough."

Two men have been charged with aiding an international crime gang in human trafficking in Donegal.

Poniza, a 35-year-old, and 28-year-old Armen Pogosyan, both with an address at Assaroe Falls, Ballyshannon, were brought before Judge Ciaran Liddy at Ballyshannon District Court on Tuesday afternoon.

A Russian interpreter was present in court to assist Pogosyan, who the court previously heard is an Armenian national with an Uzbekistan passport.

Poniza dared detectives in Ballyshannon, ‘how you going to prove that?’ when he was charged.

Europol officers were in Donegal during an international Law Enforcement Operation, which involved a Joint Investigation Team that was established in conjunction with Law Enforcement in Latvia.

“It is a very time consuming investigation with a large amount of data,” Detective Garda Kelly said, adding that the investigation, which has been running for 21 months, is still “ongoing”.
