A revealing response by Barry O'Kelly from RTร Investigates under questioning by citizen journalist Phil Dwyer at the Coolock Says No rally today:
"I stand for what everybody stands for here, and that's to keep Ireland Irish, and for the Irish, no apologies. It belongs to us. Now is that offensive to you?"
โ"Yeah, it's very offensive."
The public broadcaster have so far failed to report on the protest which was attended by thousands. You can check their website yourself. Yesterday they reported on a much smaller so-called 'anti-racism' rally in Galway organised by NGOs.
RollingNews editor Eamonn Farrell told Newstalk last week that national media outlets are deliberately ignoring protests against asylum seekers being dumped in communities around the country in the hope they "go away".
No doubt they're queuing up some smear piece special though.

A family of five Africans getting dropped off on O'Connell street in Dublin after travelling down from the north in a taxi, then it's straight to the International Protection Office to file an asylum claim.
That must be something like a โฌ500 fare.
The abuse of the asylum system has been allowed to go on for more than 25 years.
This week the High Court ruled that Ireland's designation of the UK as a "safe third country" for returning asylum seekers is contrary to EU law, increasing their ability to abuse the system.

Helen McEntee plans to opt us into the new EU pact on asylum and migration. You can read the details of the pact here but what any of it means for Ireland in practical terms is unclear and it's likely full of exploitable loopholes. Take this line:

Does mean we'll see start seeing online Irish diploma mills catering to Nigerian asylum swindlers. Who knows...
