Turns out the NGO class can protest outside asylum seeker accommodation and RTร will even advertise it for them.

It's been pointed out to me a few times where RTร now edit existing reports with a tiny 'updated' flag but completely change the content, like in this case where they removed all evidence it was they who promoted today's NGO protest in the first place.
If you look at my previous post, and click the link to RTร, you will see my earlier screengrabs no longer reflect what you now see on the webpage.
Worth pointing out because we heard a RollingNews editor tell Newstalk last week that national media outlets are deliberately ignoring protests against asylum seekers being dumped in communities around the country in the hope they "go away."
Newstalk's Barry Whyte reported the NGOs got around 100 people out to their protest today which is about the same number of locals who protested against an old Tayto factory being converted into a plantation centre in Coolock yesterday. RTร didn't cover that protest but they advertised the NGO one today.
This is what manufacturing consent looks like.

Sinn Fรฉin TD Ruairรญ ร Murchรบ raises concerns about the Zionist Lobby exerting improper influence over the type of content Ireland's new media commission will censor.
"I suppose if you deal with the issue and the slaughter that's going on in Gaza at this point in time, you'd always have a fear that particularly when you're talking about on some level American-owned companies and whatever else, that certain views may be more accepted than others."
"I suppose we don't want a difficulty where we have an element of one-sided censorship (for want of a better term) and we need to make sure all reasonable political views can be expressed reasonably, and we don't have a case where certain flaggers are trusted beyond others, and we've seen, for example, a pro-Zionist lobby that's incredibly powerful and has serious reach online. So, I would hate to see that that would have an impact."

Fine Gael TD Colm Brophy asks Coimisiรบn na Meรกn Chair Jeremy Godfrey whether the media commission has an ability to censor GBTV [I think he means GB News] to the extent Russia Today has been censored on an EU-wide level.
Brophy accused the British TV channel of putting people on air "who would not necessarily get a platform" on Irish media.

The housing crisis is being marketed as a top selling point for international property speculators.
Iโm going to do some posts in a few outlining how this came to be and the mechanisms of the scam, like QIAIFs
We can close the borders now but weโd still have to deal with these underlying structures making it easy for foreign funds to leach off the Irish people.

It was widely reported that Fianna Fรกil Senator Eugene Murphy spoke at the public meeting in Ballaghaderreen last week to oppose the construction of 47 modular homes ostensibly for Ukrainians, after previously assisting with the Syrian plantation of the town beginning in 2017.
Under-reported was that Sinn Fรฉin TD Claire Kirrane also spoke after helping locals prepare submissions to oppose the development. She was well received.
Kirrane said it was great to see the town mobilising on "something positive" and that Ballaghaderreen has "had its fill" after "seven solid years" of being planted.
The town has been planted for a lot longer than seven years though, and probably now close to 50% saturation levels. Wags call it "Allahderreen" and it's fast becoming the next Ballyhaunis.
I'd wager too that Sinn Fรฉin's low-key about-face on the new plantation has been prompted more by a drop in support than by any realisation of how damaging their "no limits" approach has been.
And they won't be the people to fix it.
