The people asking us to change the definition of family in the constitution don't sound so convinced themselves.

High Court told that protesters are continuing to obstruct entrances to a site earmarked for plantation in Naas despite the granting of an injunction four days ago restraining two of the alleged protesters who were identified from doing so.
Counsel for Pastures New Accommodation said that the protesters have erected a campsite at the entrance, hampering deliveries to the site and are preventing the construction being completed.

Catherine Connolly TD has fairly fucked the media narrative that it's only godbotherers and fringe far-right undesirables opposed to stripping the constitution from any obligation for the State to assist mothers who don't want to be compelled to work outside the home.
She's also giving licence to basic RTร viewer types to vote No.
On BoyleSports, NO is now the favourite to win in the referendum on removing mothers from the constitution. Paddy Power has it equal. For the referendum on changing the definition of family, YES is slightly ahead on both sites but the odds are narrowing.
They're scared.

Ahead of a referendum framed deceptively by his side as offering voters the chance to expand the State provision of care in the home, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says he doesn't actually believe the State should be responsible for providing any care (asylum swindlers aside) ๐

This disabled guy had it sussed. Changing the constitution in Friday's referendum does absolutely nothing for him, and that's by design.

In this 2016 BBC Newsnight did a documentary on Syrian 'Refugees' in Newcastle.
They sympathetically portrayed Omar Badreddin as being the victim of a young white girl who made up accusations against him as a 'racist' after a case against him saw a not guilty verdict.
He also said it was 'against his religion' to do such things to young girls.
Omar Badreddin has just been jailed for 18 years on 5 counts of rape of a 12 year old girl in Newcastle after grooming them.

When the bill to the change the definition of family in the constitution reached the Seanad, Senator Michael McDowell proposed an amendment to enable Government to limit exactly what "durable relationships" could be interpreted to mean in the courts by adding "as proscribed by law" after the term.
All proposals were ignored and the bill was rammed through. The unfettered ambiguity is a deliberate and calculated feature.

Remember when they told us that under the EU's Temporary Protection Directive, unlimited numbers of people from Ukraine would only be entitled to stay in Ireland for three years maximum.
That was a ruse.
This is a plantation.

A mother on Cork's Red FM explaining that the article on mothers in the constitution now framed by the government and the NGOs on their payroll as a sexist relic of the bad old days of Catholic Ireland, was in reality inserted to protect mothers from being compelled to engage in wage slavery to the detriment of their children's wellbeing.
One upshot of this referendum to remove the article is that it has exposed the vision for Ireland which has been denied to mothers while the regime deceitfully attempts to put it out of their reach.
Here's the 2017 Examiner article by Victoria White (Eamon Ryan's wife) referenced in this radio clip.

RTร are fairly glum on the prospects of the referenda passing.
"There are some here who think it's a strong possibility that the turnout could be shy of 30 per cent. If that were to happen, well the political feeling is that that would more likely lead to a rejection of the amendments ..."

Births in Ireland dropped by 13.5 per cent as the number of new babies across the European Union hit a record low, the blocโs statistics agency said.
๐ telegraph.co.uk
๐๐ป Join Late Stage Ireland
The decline can be explained by a brief baby boom after the Covid pandemic, with fertility rates reaching a five-year high in Ireland in 2021 and increasing across the EU as a whole.
In 2020, 55,959 babies were born in Ireland, which rose to 60,553 in 2021. In 2022, that dropped to 54,411 births.
Since 2011, the fertility rate in once devoutly Roman Catholic Ireland has decreased from 2.03 births per woman to 1.54.
โFertility rates are low and populations are ageing,โ said Fabian Zuleeg, chief executive of the European Policy Centre think tank in Brussels.
โThis demographic transition is a major transformation that has an impact across societies and populations, and should lead to a redesign of policies, including migration, given that tight labour markets are already a drag on growth.โ
