They're desperately trying to scapegoat the Greens ahead of the elections in the hope they can rinse and repeat with a different third party next government.

The plan is to import 500k foreigners by 2040. That hasn't changed.

Ten companies paid โ‚ฌ58m to run unregulated accommodation for children in care last year.

More than 180 vulnerable children are living in these emergency arrangements, which are often in bed and breakfasts or rental properties run by care staff from private companies.

Tusla has been under pressure due to its increasing reliance on the arrangements, which can cost up to โ‚ฌ1 million per young person per year.

Figures show Baig and Mirza Health Services Ltd, which trades as Kare Plus Dublin South, was the highest-paid provider of special emergency arrangements last year, receiving โ‚ฌ12.9 million from Tusla.

Accounts show the company made โ‚ฌ3 million in profits, with remuneration for its two directors increasing from โ‚ฌ195,000 to โ‚ฌ866,000.

The companyโ€™s owners and directors are Muhammad Usman Baig (39), from Malahide, Dublin, and Farhan Mirza (40), from Dรบn Laoghaire, who is also its chief executive.

It's possible we might be developing the same bearded minor problem which Sweden became notorious for.

It's been reported that there has been a 500% increase in the number of unaccompanied minors referred to Tusla from the International Protection Office over the past four year and the cost of accommodating children has risen 14-fold to โ‚ฌ71m.

A joint committee heard some details about the numbers:

There are currently 339 lone children seeking international protection under State care. Out of 597 lone migrant children which came into Ireland in 2022, 261 of those were Ukrainian. Last year, 177 lone children came in from Ukraine.

The vast majority of Ukrainian children are over the age of 16 and male, the committee heard.

No detail on the purported age-range or sex of the non-Ukrainians but there's a good chance it's similar.

In 2015, Sweden received 163,000 asylum-seekers, of whom 35,000 registered as unaccompanied minors but according to a report by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare in 2017, around 70% of unaccompanied minors who underwent medical age assessments were deemed to be over 18 years old.

Unaccompanied minors have access to increased supports, better accommodation and complicate the asylum process, making deportation trickier. In Sweden, they can also can apply for family reunification even while their asylum case is pending but I'm not sure if it's similar here.

As you can see from the post above, each unaccompanied minor can cost up to โ‚ฌ1 Million a year for their care. There's a lot of money on the table for those working the asylum industry and a lot of advantage for asylum seekers to claim to be under 18.

The people asking us to change the definition of family in the constitution don't sound so convinced themselves.

High Court told that protesters are continuing to obstruct entrances to a site earmarked for plantation in Naas despite the granting of an injunction four days ago restraining two of the alleged protesters who were identified from doing so.

Counsel for Pastures New Accommodation said that the protesters have erected a campsite at the entrance, hampering deliveries to the site and are preventing the construction being completed.

Catherine Connolly TD has fairly fucked the media narrative that it's only godbotherers and fringe far-right undesirables opposed to stripping the constitution from any obligation for the State to assist mothers who don't want to be compelled to work outside the home.

She's also giving licence to basic RTร‰ viewer types to vote No.

On BoyleSports, NO is now the favourite to win in the referendum on removing mothers from the constitution. Paddy Power has it equal. For the referendum on changing the definition of family, YES is slightly ahead on both sites but the odds are narrowing.

They're scared.

Ahead of a referendum framed deceptively by his side as offering voters the chance to expand the State provision of care in the home, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says he doesn't actually believe the State should be responsible for providing any care (asylum swindlers aside) ๐Ÿ˜‚

You can hear the NO campaign switching on autopilot if you listen carefully.

This disabled guy had it sussed. Changing the constitution in Friday's referendum does absolutely nothing for him, and that's by design.
