It’s understood that there were a total of three checkpoints, with protestors stopping cars entering the small Leitrim village during the evening.
On Thursday, over 200 members of the community protested outside Abbey Manor Hotel where there are plans to accommodate 155 asylum seekers. Dromahair has a population of 800.
