The young French trainee chef who is said to have have wrestled the knife from the hands of the Algerian man suspected of carrying out a stabbing spree on children in Dublin yesterday.
Alan Loren-Guille (17) was on his way to work at Spitalfields in The Coombe when he saw the children being attacked.
The gofundme for the Brazilian Deliveroo rider who is said to have battered the spree stabber with his motorcycle helmet has reached €150k, after he was interviewed widely across the media today. I haven't seen Alan getting anywhere near the attention.

Another hidden hero from Thursday's stabbing spree:
Stacey Donohoe says her husband Warren tackled the spree stabber while his birthday girl daughter Abigail ran to the nearby Rotunda hospital for help.
She told Dublin Live: "I saw what looked like a woman and a man fighting across the road. And I said to the kids, come close and stand beside me. And then I just saw him grabbing the child and stabbing her. I screamed, I said, Warren, he’s stabbing her! He's stabbing the child. And Warren ran straight across the road. He didn't even think. Warren was attacking the man, pulling the man away from the child. And then the Brazilian man came."
Stacey was unable to locate her daughter for half an hour and didn't know she had run all the way to the Rotunda to ask for ambulances & nurses where a midwife looked after her.
Stacey says her husband isn't looking for money or fame but she believes his story deserves to be told. The Gofundme for the Brazilian Deliveroo rider is now up to €225k.

200 locals protested outside Abbey Manor Hotel in the Leitrim village of Dromahair over news that 155 refugees are to be housed in the property, among them 31 single men. Dromahair has a population of 800. The hotel, a 200 year old protected structure has lain vacant for 13 years.
Fine Gael candidate for next year's local elections, Kevin Comiskey, told the Leitrim Observer that he was there to show his support: "I'm here to listen to the concerns, such as the primary care centre being at full capacity." He said there were concerns from any parents he spoke to about the 31 males "coming from a different culture and society."
Mary Kelly, a concerned resident, said that she had very little trust in the developer who originally guaranteed that it was going to be all families and no single men. "That turned out to be false," she said. She worries it could be all men.
"It won't be safe to let children walk around. I myself, as an adult, will not walk alone anymore either."

The main suspect in Thursday's stabbing frenzy of three children and their carer outside Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire on Parnell Square was arrested in May of this year for possession of a knife, as well as criminal damage to a car.
