RTÉ reporter interrupted by protesters chanting "close the borders" live on the Nine O'Clock News during a segment about the stabbing spree in Dublin. Gardaí were on hand to move the protesters away.

Defence Forces say their vehicles were not on the streets of Dublin this evening.

RTÉ reporting that the suspect in the stabbing spree today has been in Ireland for 20 years and is an Irish citizen. Gardaí are trying to establish a motive but it's clear there was a deliberate element. The suspect was hanging around the area and at the back of the school for some time before the attack.
