"Keohan, who goes by the Instagram handle “Indiana Stones”, says the Irish lifting stones are the heaviest in the world at an average of 170kg. However, a pillar stone he found last weekend weighed about 270kg."

They don't really know if Halloween 'originated' there but they do know it's a good story to get tourists eager to gasp a taste of authentic Irish cave air for a low-overhead money spinner.

Notice they lean into our history when there's cash to be fleeced but any other day, we're just a nation of immigrants who usurped Ireland's original inhabitants of hippy Nigerians with blue contact lenses, and all cultures, having an equally valid claim to Ireland, need to be put on a pedestal before us until we're completely dispossessed of our island because what is 'Irish' anyway, aside from a piece of paper...

'Dublin drinking water supplies on knife-edge as it over-relies on vulnerable Liffey'

🔹 The river supplies 85% of drinking water for the greater Dublin area, with a population now exceeding 1.7 million. Some 500 million litres is extracted daily from the river which is a relatively small waterbody for such large extraction of water.

🔹 Blessington reservoir has just three months’ worth of water supply in reserve.

🔹 Treatment facilities for pollutants are constantly running at near 100 per cent capacity.

🔹 In short, the problem is “a small catchment and a giant population”.

🔹 Compounding matters is the population growth of Kildare and Meath, the suburban counties around Dublin.

🔹 By 2044, Uisce Éireann forecasts it will need 34 per cent more water in the eastern and midlands region than today. The plans are based on 20% population growth, yet the CSO is predicting 40% by 2036.

Hospitals, sewage system, water system all overloaded, and all for one reason.

Rosslare out in force to oppose second plantation centre being developed at the old Great Southern Hotel.

Described by one local politician as the “biggest public meeting I can ever remember being at”, upwards of 350 people crammed inside the Kilrane Rosslare Harbour Community Centre to hear how local councillors, TDs, and members of the community could counteract plans to turn what was initially intended to be a new nursing home facility into another IPAS centre.

“It’s the people who have helped those coming from Ukraine and those in the IPAS centre who are saying ‘we can’t take any more because we’re at saturation point, we can’t take any more because it will evaporate all the good will that has been generated in this part of Co Wexford, anything which has been created will disappear because the people will be sick of being walked upon’.”

A Sinn Féin candidate was at the meeting to support locals, but also to make sure nobody's opposition was motivated by 'racism'. That's their new play. 😁

Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt on the 2015 migrant crisis:

In general what we see is a reaction to immigration from the Middle East which has brought millions of Muslims to Europe. Europe is now engaging in anti-immigration measures and dealing with the fear of Islamic terrorism.

This is the reaction of old Europe against this new wave of religious expression. We see ourselves fighting together with our Muslim brothers who want a free Europe, who want a peaceful Europe, who want to integrate like our forefathers integrated in western Europe, and they are our natural allies.

Rabbi Goldschmidt in 2023:

The ball is now in the court of European leaders to ensure the safety of their Jewish communities.

The lives of Jews in Europe are in danger. The responsibility for their security is in your hands.

This is a painful reminder of the darkest hours in Europe's history.

Your role is to ensure that Jewish life in Europe continues to flourish, alongside the European values of peace, freedom, and democracy.

a woman who said she lives on the estate said it was “racist” that only Ukrainians were being accommodated.

Tempting to say she deserves everything she's going to get but we have to save Ireland despite these people.

Annamoe, which is a bend in the road on the way to Glendalough, is where Daniel Day Lewis likes to live the quiet life. It's about to get a lot noisier if he doesn't put his Bill the Butcher costume back on.

One of biggest beneficiaries of the asylum industry in Ireland is Apollo Global Management who own Tifco and Travelodge. They trousered over €16 million from the industry in the first two quarters of this year alone.

Apollo's founder Leon Black (originally Blachowitz) paid Jeffrey Epstein $158 million between 2013 and 2017 for 'professional advice on tax audits' after Epstein had been convicted of soliciting a minor in 2008. Black subsequently stood down as CEO of Apollo when this was revealed publicly in 2021.

He is currently being accused of rape in a lawsuit brought by a woman who says he raped her when she was a 16 year-old at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, which he denies.

A second woman has accused him of flying her to Epstein's mansion in Florida in 2008 to 'satisfy the sexual needs of his best friend' and said he threatened to frame her for drug possession if she told anyone.

Three people have been hospitalised following three suspected stabbings in Dublin today with all three victims suffering suspected slash wounds.

In the first assault, a man and woman were injured by two suspects at Wolfe Tone Square and received serious injuries. Emergency services were then notified of a second assault at Moore Lane nearby in which a woman was injured.

Two suspects, a man and woman, are in garda custody and a weapon has also been recovered.

The incidents are understood to be unconnected to the separate arrest of a man in the GPO today who was armed with a knife. Some video of this incident was widely shared on social media.

The Government opened a new Garda Station O’Connell Street last March to help make the area safer.

A Sligo teen (14) is in critical condition with serious injuries in Beaumont Hospital after allegedly being hit on head with nailed baseball bat, after being “targeted in a Halloween beating”.

A second boy was not badly injured. Investigators believe the attackers picked on the two friends randomly and neither of the victims have any links to criminality.

A 15-year-old boy allegedly said “I’m awful sorry” after he was charged over the attack which which happened around 7.10pm at Applegreen service station on Mail Coach Road in Sligo on Halloween.

Two other youths aged 13 and 15 were also arrested over the assault yesterday. The court heard the three youths are all in second and third year at secondary school together. It's not reported if the attackers have any protected characteristics.

Asylum Industry
Newstalk
Barry White's latest report on the asylum industry for Newstalk.

"They're going to have to stop them coming in. It's as simple as that."

🔹 A lot of the recently arrived asylum seekers have been living in other European countries for years before coming to Ireland and bought return flight tickets to avoid suspicion at airports.

🔹 The Dept. of Justice says asylum seekers are entitled to bypass border management at ports and make their applications at the IPO, but the IPO does not collate statistics relating on whether such applicants had travel documents or not.

🔹 Pat Kenny said this defies credibility. "It's the first thing you'd do — 'where are your travel documents?'"

🔹 Retired Military Intelligence Director Michael Murphy says what is happening raises serious security concerns and the consequences could be dire.

🔹 From January 1st to Sept 31st in 2022, 22,000 asylum seekers arrived. 1,144 deportation orders were signed, but only 36 orders were enforced. 44 left voluntarily.
