Ashling Murphy trial to resume at 2pm today.
Below is some of the key details reported by breakingnews.ie, rte.ie and a court reporter from the Daily Mirror on Friday when some of the 25,213 hours of CCTV footage collected during the course of the investigation was shown to the jury.
The jury first watched Josef Puska cycling from Mucklagh (where Puska has listed his address in Lynally Grove) to Tullamore and then around Tullamore at times between 12:25pm and 14:05pm wearing a black jacket and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripe.
He was riding a grey Falcon Storm with luminous green forks and handle bars. Garda Harney believe he spent 30 minutes at a park off Cormac Street before cycling up towards the Tesco Extra on Portarlington Road 2.5km away. He then returned towards town. A court reporter has his full itinerary here.
There was some focus on footage showing him behind two other women and cycling in the direction of their travel. Then footage showed him near the McDonalds at 1:58pm and then entering the Daingean road car park near the Grand Canal at then finally on Callary Street after crossing to the north side of the canal at 2.05pm. This location is about 2km away from the scene of the murder in a straight line down the canal.
At 1.53pm, Garda Harney told the court the footage shows Mr Puska stopping his bicycle and appearing to reach into both his pockets. The garda said Mr Puska places both hands to the front of his body for a number of seconds and appears to have something in his hand which he then returns to his pocket. He said he came to that conclusion after watching the footage up to one hundred times.
This was challenged by the defence who put it to him that the footage was not of sufficient quality for Garda Harney to see what he was suggesting, but they did not contest Puska was the figure in all of this afternoon footage.
The jury were next shown CCTV footage of Ashling Murphy getting into her car at her school at 2:37pm and driving it. The last footage of her at 2:55pm showed her having parked her car in the same Daingean road car park Puska was shown in, and then walking towards the canal wearing a pink bobble hat, jacket, scarf and runners.
On Wednesday, a witness said she and her friend came upon Josef Puska crouching over Ashling Murphy after starting a run at 3:15pm about 500 metres away from the scene.
The next CCTV footage the jury saw was night time footage purporting to show Puska near Maunsell's Gala on Portarlington Road in Tullamore 3.6km away from the scene of the murder at 8:55pm. This is beside the Tesco Extra he was spotted near in the afternoon footage before the murder. The defence now contested this was Puska.
Portalington Rd leads into Church Rd after a roundabout and several cameras picked up a figure purported to be Puska walking down Church Rd past Tesco towards a housing estate called Hop Hill Grove which the figure reaches at 9:06pm.
Then across the road in a housing estate called Church View, CCTV from the Simply Baked bakery shows two figures getting into a grey VW Golf with a sunroof at 9:10pm. One of the figures is purported to be Jozef Puska. The headlights of the car are turned on, momentarily turn off and then are turned back on again. The vehicle begins moving and is seen at a roundabout after exiting the estate at 9:12pm. It passes an accountants on Cormac St, travelling in the direction of Muclagh.
At 12.58am on January 13th, footage shows a car pull up at Oak Apartments on the Armagh Road in Crumlin, Co. Dublin and Puska’s father and mother exit the car, followed by Jozef Puska who has changed his clothing and appears to be moving freely and has a phone in his hand.
At 11:56am at the same location the following morning, Puska is seen being brought out in a carry chair to an ambulance.
At 12:13pm, he arrives St James Hospital and is seen on a stretcher being brought into the hospital.
Puska is shown to have shaved his beard this point.

Kurdish refugee Yousef Palani, who was motivated by his hatred of homosexual men, told detectives that he would have continued "to kill" if gardaí had not stopped him, the Central Criminal Court has heard.
The sentencing hearing for the 23-year-old also heard while Palani told gardaí that his religion forbids homosexuality, gardaí were satisfied he was not radicalised despite suggestions to the contrary.
Palani told gardaí in interviews that Muslims could not be homosexual and vehemently denied being gay, despite using homosexual dating apps.
The court heard that the first murder victim, Aidan Moffitt, had been decapitated in his home, with his head placed on a bed. He had also suffered 42 stab wounds. Michael Snee was also found tied up on the floor of his own bedroom with 38 sharp force injuries. A third victim suffered injuries to his eye but managed to escape.
All victims had arranged to meet Palani on Grindr.
Update: Palani was sentenced to life plus 20 years.

Gang who attacked man in Dungannon reported to be from East Timor.
Earlier this month, I posted a footage of an attack in County Tyrone by a gang of up to 30 foreign men that left a man in Dungannon with serious head injuries. He remains in hospital, and unable to give a statement to police but it has now been revealed the gang are East Timorese:
>I spoke to a number of local sources, who expressed concern about the disorder and violence in the area, and who told me there are a now a number of established East Timorese gangs in the town. Tensions are now spilling into nearby Cookstown, with local schools experiencing reported issues which meant police were called over a number of incidents.
>“It’s not uncommon to see these gangs fighting in the town at night. It is something locals have had to put up with for the last number of months,” a source living in the town told me. The female source also said she would not walk alone after dark in the area.
>Her hometown, she says, has become almost unrecognisable.

A Romanian man, who just came to Ireland looking for a better life, has been handed a 19-year prison sentence for "brutally" sexually assaulting a woman who got into his car thinking it was a taxi.
Liviu Tenea, who was working for a takeaway, drove the woman to a dark isolated location before attacking her.
Imposing sentence, Justice Mary Ellen Ring said the "brutal" sexual assaults carried out by Tenea on the woman in an isolated area after she got into what she believed to be a taxi was "every woman's nightmare". She said Tenea then left the scene, leaving the victim to find assistance herself.
She noted Tenea's guilty plea, but said she “can't overlook” his initial attempts to blame the victim by telling gardaí that she had propositioned him.
He has one previous conviction in Spain for sexual assault of a minor for which he received a 20-year sentence in 2006 but was repatriated to Romania in 2010 and then released in 2015 before moving to Ireland through the north.

First they told us it was €250,000. That was then downgraded to €30,000. Now it's gone up to €357,000 found in denominations of €500 and €200 banknotes and hidden in bags in the “cluttered” bedrooms of the Palani family.
That's a lot of cash for a Kurdish refugee couple with 8 children to have stashed around the home we provided them. Neither parent nor Yousef was employed.
"One line of inquiry is that the money came into Ireland when Palani’s family first arrived here from Iraq."

Some interesting details in this report.
Apparently the house was provided to the Palani family by the GAA who have declined to comment. People in positions of leadership in the fields of politics, religion and the LGBTQ+ community in Sligo have also chosen to remain silent in the aftermath of the murders.
“There’s no due diligence done and now we have ended up with a murderer living beside us,” one resident said.
He was long marked as a trouble maker but the Garda seemed to have a hands-off approach towards him. When Palani was aged 10 or 11, local children invited him over to play football on the green. When he did, he began kicking the other children, not the football.
Palani was seen by neighbours in TikTok videos, since deleted, interacting with a transwoman from Thailand. They never saw him with any girlfriends.

That time a Libyan called Mahdi al-Harati who lived in Firhouse had to rush home from his 'freedom-fighting' expedition in Libya because his Dublin home was burgled, and the €200,000 which the CIA had given him in €500 banknotes had been stolen out of the hot press.
"The gentle Irishman," as he was described in the Irish Times, had an associate called Abdelhakim Belhadj in Libya who was an ISIS leader. He had also been pictured with an Al Qaeda financier.

There's a part at 12:05 in the above audio clip where Joe Duffy mentions "a number of Irish people" who went to Libya to help overthrow Gadaffi. These were Libyans with Irish citizenship and most if not all were likely CIA/MI5 assets.

Driver of the grey VW golf who drove Jozef Puska to Mucklagh after he called to his door in Church View at 9pm is identified as a Slovakian national called Rostislav “Peter” Pokuta who worked as a school bus driver.
Puska told him he'd been involved in a fight in town but wouldn't tell him with who. He said Puska looked “very scared” and it “wasn’t like him.” He says he was scratched in the face and the scratches were bleeding. He was wearing a black tracksuit with a white line on the side. His face almost looked blue. He was shaking and he was all wet.
“He didn’t want to talk to me. I asked him I think 20 times on the way home.”
The witness said that near Lynally Grove Puska asked him to slow down in case somebody was outside his house.
He originally told the Garda he only met Puska and his brother during the afternoon when the brother wanted to discuss payment for his bus runs.
Defence asked did he notice Puska having injuries to his stomach. The witness said he was holding his stomach.
