Court hears Angolan man stabbed German tourist at Dublin airport eight times with a two and half inch blade while telling the man "I'm going to kill you" because he sought social welfare assistance.

I'd say he'll probably get it too.

🚨 Community Alert for Dún Laoghaire

Foreign men have allegedly been spotted taking photos of the children at the Summer Family Funfair in the harbour area.

One mother says she saw an African man following a 6-year-old girl from ride to ride taking photos of her until she warned the girl's father who then took his child away.

She says the man then continued to take photos of other kids so the mother stood behind him and noticed that he was posting the pictures to Messenger.

She asked him what he was doing and whether he had kids at the fair with him. He replied that he didn't and then claimed to only speak French.

A fairground attendant subsequently told the mother that she had problems with the man taking photos of kids before and that she had called the gardaí on him many times.

She said three other foreign men subsequently showed up and also started taking pictures of children. When she confronted them and told them to stop, one laughed and said 'okay'.

Photos of all the men have been sent to gardaí.

Flashback to 2010:

'Demonstrators protesting austerity measures throw fireworks at gardaí protecting the Dáil from anarchist groups,' reads the subheadline in the Guardian.

But look at the precious picture they selected to accompany the report.

Here's what Mick Wallace, who would top the poll in Wexford in the general election the following year, had to say about the protest:

>Mick Wallace, who has had to lay off 100 of his workers due to the crash in the construction industry, said it was time the Irish became more militant: "We are far too quiet. We should be more like the French and get on to the streets more often. Because our politicians go over to Europe and tell the EU that our people do not demonstrate, they don't take to the streets. It's time we changed that and openly opposed what is going on.

I had some criticism of the 'TURF THEM OUT' poster campaign because I thought the dark background made it difficult to discern at distance, but it has generated a lot of publicity, featuring in Saturday's Irish Times and on Ruth Coppinger's twitter.

Doctors working in Ireland’s adult National Gender Service (NGS) have accused the HSE of trying to establish a new “activist-led” transgender service that will be “dangerous for patients”.

>“The idea that you would have an activist-driven model of care within the medical setting is just unthinkable.”

>“Just how many children and vulnerable young people do you want to come to harm because of institutional behaviour before you will call time on it?”

>“It’s about a culture with senior people in the HSE ignoring clinical specialist advice.

>“They have lied to me and are actively misleading an incredibly vulnerable group of patients by directing them towards a service that I think it’s reasonable to say is at least as bad as Tavistock, but most likely worse.”

>O’Shea said political party leaders have confided in him that they are afraid to publicly raise questions about HSE transgender policies.

>“Nobody can talk about it or they are cancelled, it’s mad,” said O’Shea.

The meeting was organised by a local group called the Mount Alexander Residents and attended by five councillors along with Fianna Fáil Senator Malcolm Byrne.

Byrne has since clarified that following discussions with the Department of Equality, that the plans are not going to proceed.

"I raised a number of very legitimate concerns of local residents...including around sewerage and transport."

Zero evidence of 'plastic bags full of urine' being thrown at Dáil staff ever presented, but no retraction from the Irish Times, just like the false story about the 'stolen' mobile phone.

No footage and no investigations announced even though there were cameras everywhere.

How would someone even throw multiple bags of urine without getting it all over themselves? Wouldn't it be smarter to use a plastic cup with a lid?

The other notable trend at present is the more than 520,000 adults still living with their parents, locked out of home ownership and unable to afford the exorbitantly inflated rents.

It's not just a new dynamic. It's a new plantation.

So as the dust settles on Wednesday's events, the only people who seem to have suffered any injuries were two protesters, both members of the disabled community.

One man attended the protest with his care dogs to bring awareness to his sister's death after being administered the so-called covid19 vaccine.

He was shoved aside to make way for Michael Healy-Rae and hit his head on some railings. He had previously been assaulted by a gang in Carlow and suffers migraines.

Another man on crutches with a braced leg was slammed to the ground outside the front gates of Leinster House for reasons unclear. He was left to lie there and told the ambulance could take two hours.

It looks like this was the main reason TDs were held up from getting home and not the dozen or so protesters who blocked the gates for a brief time and who have since been let off with a caution.
