Dublin woman explains why she attended the Dáil protest today.

"My father is homeless. He is in living in a homeless shelter. He was told he was next on the list for a home, and he got a phone call to say that the house was going to Ukrainian refugees (who aren't really Ukrainian). My father subsequently stopped taking all of his medication and tried to commit suicide."

Aisling, a qualified dental nurse who has worked all her life and taken nothing from the state, has been homeless for one year and living out of a car in horrific conditions with two dogs.

She's spent €60,000 of her own money trying to stay off the streets while the government's been running around trying to source guest houses with enough steam rooms and saunas for foreign men who are fleeing nothing but their own inadequacy.

But she came to the Dáil today because she says she's ready to fight to the last bit of strength she has left like her great grandmother Molly Doyle fought to secure Ireland's freedom.

I think they sense a mood change, but you'll notice not one protester was asked for their view.

When Irish people were locked in a shop with migrants shouting 'Die you white b*stards', there were ZERO politicians to condemn it

Michael Healy-Rae calling protesters outside the Dáil yesterday dole scroungers — some neck.

Healy-Rae thought he could doff his cap, sniff a bit of turf and be cheered on his way when he walked out the back door yesterday into the crowd.

He misjudged the situation as protesters had seen through the folksy gimmickry. He wasn't the people's champion he believed he was, but the gombeen landlord of a property empire who has gorged himself at the tax-payer's teat.

He got in on the Ukrainian action as soon as he could, putting them up in a hotel he owns. From his perspective, the more migrants in Ireland, the more he can charge the State to house people who will never be able to afford a home in one of his 16 properties. Nice money but I wouldn't call it work, Michael.

I still hope he manages to recover from the paper cup that was thrown in his basic direction, and well done for getting the dirt to sympathise with the biggest landlord in the Dáil.

A common refrain I heard on the radio today was politicians scratching their heads claiming not to know what the Dáil protest was even about, so here it is once more for the thickos at the back.

Richard Boyd Barrett is having a rough time with the locals at the Graduate in Killiney where he had organised a pub quiz tonight to fund plantation activism.

Apparently he doesn't bother reading the news so he wasn't aware a woman recently had her face slashed to bits by one of his pet migrants with no identification but who claims to be Jesus, and was only in the country a day before deciding to rob her car.

Around 80 members of the Sallins community took part in the inaugural demonstration against any plan by the government to accommodate asylum seekers at the local Waterways hotel this evening.

Some of the participants carried placards reading “Sallins Says No” and "Sallins Says No To Unvetted Men.”

Another read “Stop. We do not consent. This is a planned invasion on the community of Sallins. On the land of Éire. This is not acceptable."

“We are dealing with enough crises in our own country. My fear is that they are unvetted. Our safety cannot be guaranteed by the gardaí,” said local woman Ciara Timmons.

Fianna Fáil TD James Lawless said he is deeply frustrated at the lack of coherent communication on the proposal from his government, but he is aware that at least six other Kildare towns are set to be hosting asylum seekers shortly.

Malone spreading disinformation again.

No tents were burned on Sandwith Street. After Trotskyists abandoned the shanty town they had constructed illegally due to local opposition, and decided to squat in a retirement home for elderly people in Phibsboro instead, some of the rubbish they had left behind caught fire in mysterious circumstances.

But as long as he's spreading the right kind of disinformation, I guess the factcheckers will ignore him and the government cheques can keep coming in.

I'd hate to be the person who has to clean up the gym, sauna and steam rooms after them, probably be some foreign wage-slave.

A pop-up NGO 'Newbridge For All' is already being advertised by Social Democrats Cllr Chris Pender to feign support for the decision from the community.

The hilarious gallows stunt outside the Dáil on Wednesday is being investigated as a potential criminal offence under various legislation including incitement to hatred, public order laws and laws against threatening or intimidating behaviour.

However, some gardaí are sceptical that the investigation will result in criminal charges as cases have been submitted to the DPP before regarding material at public protests which some people found offensive, and in all such cases, the DPP declined to bring charges as they viewed the actions as falling under the right to free expression.

I don't personally support the re-introduction of capital punishment as it has resulted in completely innocent people being put to their death. It can also compel guilty parties to enter not-guilty pleas leading to lengthy and distressing trials for the victims which sometimes fail.

However, I totally get why some campaigners support its reestablishment and it's their right to campaign for it.

I also understand not everybody finds the campaign funny, but there are many campaigns I haven't found funny either like Kathy Griffin's campaign to behead the President of America in a gruesome ISIS style execution, but many people did.

Anyway, if anyone does get lifted for this, make sure to assert your rights and say nothing before getting legal counsel.
