High Court rejects legal challenge by Gemma O'Doherty and John Waters to Covid-19 laws
>In his judgement, he said: “In making their case for leave the applicants, who have no medical or scientific qualifications or expertise, relied upon their own unsubstantiated views, gave speeches, engaged in empty rhetoric and sought to draw an historic parallel with Nazi Germany – a parallel which is both absurd and offensive.”
>“Unsubstantiated opinions, speeches, empty rhetoric and a bogus historical parallel are not a substitute for facts,” the judge said.

Not keen on detailing for us the horrors she suffered there.
>While she feared going into detail, she said her husband and their family no longer felt safe in Albania and were forced to flee their homeland.
Bullshit.

Edel McGinley told a roundtable on racism and Covid-19 that the organisations she works for have been "pushing for the regularisation of undocumented migrants" for years and have been really trying to "get that over the line" in their current negotiations with the government.
"Regularisation of undocumented migrants" is NGO-code for getting the government to not deport illegals.
McGinley went onto explain that it was her organisations who managed to "secure a firewall" so that the data of illegals wouldn't be shared across govt departments in order to prevent them from being recognised in the system and issued deportation orders if they accessed welfare or health services.
McGinley also stated that the rights of illegals is the same as worker rights, gender rights, asylum seeker rights or LGBT issues and that it was important they worked in solidarity.
McGinley is the Director of Migrant Rights Centre Ireland and Chair of the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants.

Dr. Olaniyi Kolawole told a roundtable discussion on racism and covid-19 that he wants the Irish govt to implement hate crime legislation so that courts are forced to prosecute accusations of racism regardless of merit.
"They should commit to it [equality] by putting in place specific legislation that will make it mandatory for people to treat and respect everyone equally without blaming the victim or putting the responsibility on the victims of inequality to prove the motive of that inequality they experience from a perpetrator"
"How am I going to prove to people or to the court that the motive of somebody treating me badly is race? It's subjective! It's only the person who experienced it who knows what they experienced."
Dr. Olaniyi Kolawole is a Nigerian who received his doctorate from UCC for writing a thesis comparing the experiences of Irish doctors working in Canada to African doctors working in Ireland. He has no medical qualification.
