In the space of 15 years Irish 25-29 year olds have gone from 17th most likely in the EU to be still living at home (36%) to 5th most likely out of the 23 reporting so far (68%), ahead of Spain (67%) and just behind Italy (71%).

Tipperary man to face council in court over a log cabin erected on his familyโs land.
He says the only reason the log cabin was needed was because the council advised him he could be on the housing list for 10-15 years for a property.
"...but if I take it down, theyโve offically made me homeless. Iโve lived and worked here most of my life and paid taxes, and I canโt keep a log cabin thatโs there because the council couldnโt fulfill their duties of giving me a house, and now they want it removed, but if I came in from another country, it would be handed to me.โ

A protest has been organised outside The Sacred Heart Convent School in Roscrea at 11am on Monday, the 12th of June.
Locals have been told the former convent school is being refurbished to accommodate 402 Ukrainians though many in the town suspect this is a ruse and it will end up being used to house many more international protection applicants due to size of the site which is situated next to a working primary school.
Locals found out about the plan last week when some of them noticed construction work being carried out and put pressure on their representatives to demand answers.
The town is already accommodating 70 international protection applicants at Corville House at Sean Ross Abbey, and locals fear the new arrivals, who are expected to start arriving at the end of the summer, will only strain services further with GP access and medical services as well as securing school places being some of their key concerns.

Ellen O'Reilly disappeared from Kingscourt on Wednesday, June 7th at 4:30pm while wearing a grey hooded jumper, blue jeans and silver shoes.

Dublin Says No have arrived at what they believe is the Rathmines home of Mel Sutcliffe who they say is the owner of a โฌ1.2 Billion property portfolio including Goldstein Properties which is currently leasing some of their properties to the government to accommodate so-called asylum seekers.

So we want to make a message clear to Mel: If anything happens to a woman or a child from any of the men this slum landlord is renting to the government in our areas, in any of his buildings, then we will be holding him responsible for it. A mother who brought her daughter (5) and son (1) to Rathmullan Park fears there may have been a child abduction attempt made on her daughter.
The family were at the Ramparts Playground swings when a boy approached her daughter and started acting friendly. The boy asked her daughter how old she was and claimed he was 6.
This made the mother suspicious as he looked to be about 11 or 12, and she looked around to try to locate his parents.
The boy then suggested that they do something else but when her daughter declined the idea, he ran out the gates to where the mother realised his father had been sitting. He subsequently ran back with the suggestion that they play a game together.
Next as the mother turned away, she looked back and saw the boy was trying to pull her daughter out of the gates of the park by her arm. The mother screamed and ran over and the boy and and his father fled.
She described the pair as foreign but says the boy spoke perfect English.

Note that the councillor wasn't concerned for any of the elderly people who could be kicked out their nursing homes so the owners could increase their profits in the asylum industry, only that it could affect Fine Gael's election chances.
