Reminder that Travellers' high-rate of Covid-19 infection is a result of their marginalisation by wider society and NOT because they are more likely to disregard covid-19 restrictions.
43 per cent of Travellers who have undergone testing have tested positive for Covid-19, according to official figures, compared to 4 percent for the public nationwide.
This has prompted Simon Harris to open a new Covid-19 assessment hub at the Mater Hospital to work specifically with Travellers and Roma.
