An embodied creativity practitioner drove an hour from Bellharbour this morning to scold locals for not wanting asylum seekers dumped in the Magowna Hotel. These are the people who crate hard times.

Another shitlib brought down these banners but didn't have the local support to hold them so she had to ask the asylum seekers to welcome themselves for the RTÉ photo shoot.

Curious lack of outrage from the media and NGO class for this attack on an LGBT student from Beaufort College in Navan. Maybe if faces of the assailants had been blurred...

Apparently they only got a week's suspension.

NGOs didn't realise when locals said they didn't want outsiders coming down stirring it that they were talking about them. πŸ˜‚

I don't care what your political affiliation is.

This is constrained by basic laws of economics and human psychology.

There will be more housing shortages.

There will be more social unrest.

Ireland's infrastructure will continue to deteriorate.

LOCAL ACCESS ONLY

We need massive versions of that sign dotted around the coast.

The Irish Times is suggesting that the government understands there's a pull factor which contributes to the number of asylum seekers Ireland receives and that by demonstrating only tented accommodation is available here, we get fewer arrivals.

What's weird is back in 2020, Roderic O'Gorman assured us that promising asylum seekers their own homes within four months of arrival would definitely NOT incentivise more to arrive, following so-called 'expert advice' from Catherine Day's White Paper.

Abolishing the direct provision system and granting a blanket amnesty (which has created the need to open more direct provision centres than ever before) was a key demand of the Green Party to enter in the programme for government

O'Gorman also said he was committed to consulting with locals before dumping predominantly fake refugees in their community so the far-right bogeyman couldn't manipulate them into thinking it wasn't in their best interest β€” another big lie.

Minister Roderic O’Gorman has refused to rescind the contract for Magowna House Hotel and also refused to apologise for not consulting locals before dumping asylum seekers in it.

In a video with with the county’s Oireachtas representatives, O'Gorman also stated that he is not negotiating with the property owner about reducing the number of asylum seekers residing there.

He said a return bus service, which is due to operate once a day, is also due to come on stream.

Fianna FΓ‘il TD Cathal Crowe told Clare FM that he isn’t convinced that locals will take much comfort from the answers given today.

The locals have indicated their intention to continue to man the blockade β€œuntil December” if it comes to it.

The 'revolutionaries' are now squatting at a property which is being redeveloped by charitable housing association to accommodate the elderly called the James McSweeney House on Berkeley St in Phibsborough.

>Mr Meagher said on May 12th last, the alarm was triggered after persons unknown broke in. A security officer called and found the front door blocked from inside.

>The officer tried unlocking the door, but the key broke in the lock and a locksmith was later unable to remove the broken key.

>When Cabhru's building and facilities officer arrived later that night , there were possibly five people inside "purporting to act as advocates" for those inside.

>One of them told the security officer he was "a revolutionary for the homeless", that this was a civil matter, and they would not get out, Mr Meagher said.

May 12th was the day their shanty town was cleared out in Sandwith Street.

The property in DΓΊn Laoghaire which is being renovated to accommodate asylum seekers has been named as the former Senior College on Eblana Avenue in the centre of the town.

The Irish Times reports that sources suggest it may be some time before this site hosts people as significant works need to be done.

Looks to be quite a large site, capable of accomodating 500+ people. In 2020, TD Ossian Smyth said the site would be re-opening as an Educate Together school.

It was also revealed the warehouse in Airways Industrial estate in Santry will be accommodating up to 303 single men with the owner Goldstein Property securing an 89 week contract with the Dept of Equality.
