An open-borders supporter drove a Nissan X-Trail into an East Wall protester tonight.

It's believed the driver's name is Stephen Bedford from Coolock who has been seen driving around with a sound system on his roof playing 'racists out' on a loop. Earlier today he had described protesters as "dangerous" but that he "knew how to deal with them".

Bedford is facebook friends with Mark Malone and Dean Scurry who is an organiser of the 'Ireland For All' rally taking place this Saturday. He follows TD Paul Murphy and numerous NGOs including Fingal Against Racism.

Bedford posted his recording of the attack on his facebook page which is still up. The video has been re-posted by the Ireland Against Fascism page who remarked:

"It's something we all would do. It's like Death Race 2023 but without the blood, gore and death. Fair play to this person".

Paul Murphy has dismissed the attack as a driver making a "clever (but illegal) move to get where he/she was going".

An eye witness account of the attack at the Five Lamps junction in Dublin at around 7.30pm yesterday:

"It was like something you'd see in a horror movie...he kept driving and driving and driving."

"I ran straight to Simon and he was on the ground. He was in an awful way. The picture was exactly the way he was until the ambulance took him away. He was curled up. He couldn't move. He could barely talk."

Gavin Pepper said that three minutes earlier the victim Simon had directed Gavin's wife and baby away from the location of the attack as he feared for their well-being after spotting the driver, an open borders activist, who was known to protesters for antagonising them.

An Afghan man can spend 9 months crossing various European countries including three months in Calais before being transported to Ireland illegally and then seek a High Court injunction to force the state to provide him with accommodation. He says it's his legal right under Irish and EU law.

The man's legal team is being instructed by the Irish Refugee Council Independent Law Centre.

The regime doesn't serve you. It only serves to disenfranchise you.

I don't get how taking a clip I put together this morning is supposed to help Irish nationalism. If he liked it so much he could have just pressed the forward button and his subscribers could have read the original description which included a link to the Twitter space it was clipped from if they wanted to hear more.

But maybe it's a high level journalism technique which he picked up in Israel that I'm not not privy to.

"Tommy has been welcomed by Irish people (especially indigenous Irish)."

There are only indigenous Irish people, Tommy. They're called Irish people.

Open-borders activist Stephen Bedford (36) charged with dangerous driving.

Bedford claims protesters threw themselves in front of his car purposely at the Five Lamps junction in Dublin yesterday where one man was injured and was brought to hospital by ambulance.

Virgin Media lead the item with Bedford's statement to the court which accused protesters opposed to the government's immigration policies of "inciting hatred on the streets of Dublin" while calling them "akin to the Ku Klux Klan".

Virgin Media neglected to mention the nature of Bedford's "strong political and moral beliefs" which is the support for an Ireland without any border control.

On Thursday evening, over 70 people gathered in Tuam to voice their opposition to the Direct Provision centre planned to open on the grounds of the Mercy Secondary School, situated just outside the town centre.

Locals of all ages attended to find out more information and discuss issues around the opening of the centre. Reporters from the Tuam Herald were in attendance. Independent candidate for East Galway, David O’Reilly, addressed the crowd.

Points made by speakers included the unsuitability of the proposed site as well as opposition to broader government policy on migration and the forecast by senior civil servants that Ireland is set to be accommodating 180,000 people seeking refuge by the end of the year.

A decision was made to form a committee with an aim to liaise with TDs, Councillors and other relevant groups on behalf of the local community, organise future protests and meetings, and distribute information on further developments in Tuam.
