Paul Fitzsimons speaking outside the Dรกil:
"This needs to stop. They need to be held accountable for everything they are doing to this country. This country is on its knees and they're bringing in more migrants.
"They have put โฌ50 million into this to bring refugees in. We're better served bringing the โฌ50 million out to Dublin airport and getting them out of this country. We don't want them here.
"Our children can't walk the streets. Our wives can't walk the streets. Even our boys can't walk the streets now. This has to stop."

Mullingar pulled a large crowd yesterday who want to keep the pressure on.
There's serious tension as Roderic O'Gorman's Dept of Equality intends to accommodate 120 male asylum seekers in tents (and later portacabins) at a former army barracks using a system where new men are bussed in every three weeks while others are bussed out.
โThe intention is that no person should have to stay at Columb Barracks for more than three weeks before being moved on to more suitable accommodation."
However, there is a lot of space at the site, and with the ever-increasing demand to source accommodation for asylum seekers, the number of men placed there could easily swell. Many community groups currently use the grounds for sport and social activities.
One local woman told the crowd:
"It's very important we make sure to keep this momentum going and we stay on the streets and defend what is ours. It's not racist to want to protect your own race and defend your own nation."

A grand total of three asylum seekers were deported to the EU member states they came from last year out of 24 decisions issued.
Government is really putting its shoulder to the wheel now. I wonder if they can top out at four this year. Fingers crossed. ๐ค๐ป
Minister Simon Harris said it's a bit tricky because they make legal challenges and Minister Helen McEntee's Dept of Justice can't always figure which country they arrived from.
Between January and July of last year 4,404 people were refused leave to land at Irish borders with approximately 88% claiming asylum. 2,590 had arrived from other EU member states. The countries of origin for 1,322 others were unknown.
Under the Dublin III Agreement, Ireland is entitled to deport asylum seekers to any EU member state they came here from.

The reason the majority of people are protesting asylum seekers being accommodated in their communities is because they are unemployed and have nothing else to do, according to Zak Moradi on #RTEUpfront. He advises an increase in their social welfare payments in response.

Irish Rail Racial Abuse
Newstalk
It's been over two weeks since an Irish family was subjected to racial abuse on a train because they politely asked a woman who had no ticket if she could move her bags a little so a child could take up the seat they had booked for him.
There has been zero comment from the NGO class despite providing them probably millions of Euro in public money over ten years to stage anti-racism campaigns on public transport to media fanfare.
They're not anti-racist, just anti-Irish.

The Limerick based NGO Doras is appealing for an an end to Garda passport checks at the steps of planes as it could block access to โthe only escape that some people have from persecution or war.โ
Garda recently started checking the travel documents from some passengers disembarking planes for two days of the week after it was reported that 5,000 asylum seekers arriving in Ireland last year had either false travel documents or none at all.
โThe Gardaรญ ramping up the practice of checking travel documents at the bottom of aircraft as people get off at Dublin Airport would appear to be intended as a deterrent for people coming to Ireland to seek international protection,โ Doras CEO John Lannon told Newstalk.
Doras is the NGO which previously pressured the Limerick Post to remove a 2016 report about a man working in a Limerick direct provision centre who claimed that staff had been subjected to physical attacks and mental abuse by individuals and gangs of radical Muslim men living in the centre.
The man told the Limerick Post that management at the centre are frightened to take any action because there are no security officers on the premises, and they are afraid that the radicals will be backed up by other asylum seekers who have cheated the direct provision system.
โI have dealt with these people personally and have had a lot of conversations with them in relation to their personal life, social life and religious beliefs. In some of them I have found a worrying level of extremism, bordering on hatred, which could potentially manifest in some sort of devastating way, as their numbers will continue to riseโ.
โI donโt have a problem with their religion or the background they come from, but we need to face facts. There are cheaters in the direct provisional system getting protection and privileges that they donโt deserve and that should be a big concern. Obviously not everyone who has immigrated to Ireland can be painted with the same brush, but we must be careful of the wolves among the sheepโ.
โI have come to understand that the goings on in direct provisional centres are quite different from what mass media and the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are reporting.
โRadical minded economic migrants, who are mostly students and workers, have filled up a large number of vacancies within the direct provisional systemโ.
The Limerick Post submitted to the pressure and deleted their report. It is archived here.
The security implications of having de facto open borders don't concern Doras, only that infinite numbers of people claiming to be asylum seekers have uninterrupted access to Ireland's resources.
The more asylum seekers Ireland receives, the more Doras' services are required. It's a lucrative business model.
