Regarding videos circulating about Drimnagh:
What I heard yesterday was was that asylum seekers had been accommodated at Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School over the Christmas break as some of the hotels wanted their rooms back for this period.
What locals thought were asylum seekers being moved in yesterday were cleaners and security preparing the school after the asylum seekers had left. School starts back on Thursday.
Very heartening to see the response from the local community but the asylum seekers had come and gone already and nobody had noticed. This was explained to the community yesterday by gardaí but they didn't believe it, and I don't blame them as communities are constantly fed lies about the asylum racket.
One father who attempted to take pictures from inside the school had his phone smacked out of his hands and his t-shirt torn off by a member of the security team. A mother was put into a garda van.

The twitter user who posted these pictures of gardaí leaving the old ESB office in East Wall carrying large evidence bags has deleted their posts after saying they were threatened. It looks like the dirt had been hassling her.
What happened in the building hasn't been reported anywhere in the media but what I heard was that there was an altercation between two Georgians involving a knife. This is unconfirmed.

Huge crowd out in Drimnagh tonight to oppose asylum seekers being dumped in their community.
As I posted earlier, what I heard was that all asylum seekers staying at Our Lady of Mercy School have been moved on. Cllr Daithí Doolan (Sinn Féin) now claims the school only accommodated women from Ukraine for a couple nights. However, the school's facebook states that asylum seekers were housed there from the Dec 23rd until Jan 3rd.The school will be opening as normal tomorrow.
The Dept of Integration has also stated that "The premises had been used temporarily during the Christmas and New Year period, but has now been vacated by the Department."
Philip Dwyer livestreamed the protest here. After some speeches, locals marched up to Crumlin Rd which they blocked for ten minutes. Chants included "save our schools", "get them out" and my fave — "Sinn Féin are traitors".
While the asylum seekers may be gone, the strong reaction tonight should make the govt think twice about planting the community in the future.

Protesters were out in East Wall again tonight and blocked the junction at Clontarf Rd/Alfie Byrne Rd and the junction in Ballybough.
Malachy Steenson gave a speech where he talked about the pressures the government's reckless attitude to immigration puts on services. They don't just want the asylum seekers moved on, they want the entire racket shut down and and an end to open borders.
"The government has to change its immigration policy and they have to say Ireland is full and we cannot accept any more people into this country."
