Photos from the protest outside the old Bargaintown building on North Rd in Finglas today over the plans to accommodate 222 asylum seekers at the property.

Between 150 and 200 members of the community attended the protest.

Though the asylum seekers have been bussed out, concerns were raised that they'd be moved back in at some point. It is believed they are staying at City West Hotel currently.

The protesters also want any plans to accommodate asylum seekers at the old Haribo factory on McKee Ave to be scrapped.

Two members of the National Party spoke to the crowd.

Taoiseach Michéal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney are booed upon their arrival at the Michael Collins centenary commemoration.

Other members of the crowd cheered in an attempt to drown the booing out.

At 00:45 as they shake hands and take their seats, you can then hear some loudspeaker playing this quote from Michéal Martin on repeat:

"Let there be no doubt about where Ireland stands. We want nothing to do with a backward-looking idea of sovereignty."

Remembering Michael Collins - 100 Years On

This might sound peculiar.

It's been a great week - the Bargaintown locals getting it done, with support from Philip, the Ambush at Beal na mBlath - and yet the thing I got most pleasure out of is a bunch of comments on Twitter.

The Irish Times published an article covering a bullshit report on the Rise of the Irish Right compiled by a US monitoring group (an offshoot of the US Far Left Southern Poverty Law Center). The blow back in comments - not just on the article but against the whole woke agenda. Huge and from all over. Comments from the kind of people who get labelled as normies on here.

The mood is different. A big change is underway. Feels so good.

Put on the kettle. Settle in a comfortable chair. Check out the comments on this thread.

A 55-year-old Ukrainian woman was raped in broad daylight by an asylum seeker from Guinea on the streets of Piacenza in Italy.

The main concern the regime media has with this incident is that Georgia Meloni retweeted the video.

"The woman can be heard crying "God, please no! God, please for the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit! Please, God no!"

The Independent have deleted their report on a blog post published by an SPLC offshoot in conjunction with Mark Malone's State-funded Far-Right Observatory.

An archive of the report can be read here.

They also deleted their tweet which is a shame because the comments were hilarious.

"It is not to see our country covered with smoking chimneys and factories. It is not to show a great national balance-sheet, nor to point to a people producing wealth with the self-obliteration of a hive of bees. The real riches of the Irish nation will be the men and women of the Irish nation, the extent to which they are rich in body and mind and character.

What we want is the opportunity for everyone to be able to produce sufficient wealth to ensure these advantages for themselves. That such wealth can be produced in Ireland there can be no doubt: ‘For the island is so endowed with so many dowries of nature, considering the fruitfulness of the soil, the ports, the rivers, the fishings, and especially the race and generation of men, valiant, hard, and active, as it is not easy to find such a confluence of commodities’.
"

- Michael Collins, Path To Freedom 'Building up Ireland' - if only Cumann na nGaedheal actually read this in and attempted to implement in the first 10 years of the Free State!

Spoiler alert: The disgust amounted to one comment on twitter.

Reading the replies to the report on facebook suggests many more agree with the messages on the stickers.

The chairman of the Cork City Homeless Group has told Red FM that Irish homeless people were kicked out the Commons Inn so the hotel could accommodate Ukrainians.

Tony told Neil Prendeville that the Irish people were given just 12 hours notice before they were kicked back out onto the streets, and said the number of Irish homeless people "bounced up" when Ukrainians started arriving in Ireland.

A female caller corroborated Tony's story, telling Neil Prendeville that she had met a homeless man who had been kicked out of the Commons Hotel and the woman he was with had been stabbed outside Cork Simon Community Emergency Shelter two days prior.

In April, it was revealed hoteliers were being offered between €4,800 and €6,000 a month per room to house Ukrainians. In July, it was reported the state was willing to pay hoteliers €135 per night for single adult Ukrainians.

>If Ireland was the first point at which the migrants were discovered, they would have been afforded the opportunity to claim asylum here, however, it’s reported that the men opted not to do this and were to travel back to France on the same ferry on which they arrived. At this point, they will be turned over to the French authorities.

Even if they hadn't claimed asylum in France previously, they can still be deported there under the Dublin Agreement.

Interesting that it's happening at all though.

>A garda source confirmed it is a fairly regular occurrence, however, in the majority of cases the illegal immigrants opt to return to France when they are discovered, rather than claim asylum in Ireland.

Why are they giving them any option?

>A TAXI driver has been accused of raping a young woman in his cab after he picked her up in Dublin city centre and was driving her home.

>The accused, a married father in his late 40s, allegedly stopped the taxi, got out of the driver's seat and into the back where he raped the woman for eight minutes.

>When gardai questioned him, he insisted the sex was "entirely consensual," a court heard.

>Defence solicitor Danielle O’Sullivan said her client could be waiting trial for two to three years in custody if refused bail.

>He had given a “full account” in a garda statement asserting that the encounter between himself and the alleged victim was “fully consensual,” she said.

>Judge Cronin said while it was a serious offence, there was insufficient evidence of a real risk and she did not consider it necessary to refuse bail. She set bail in the accused's own bond of €500, with an independent surety of €2,000.

This is Helen McEntee's supposedly new pro-women justice system.
