Mo chroí dubh. I've been fishing all my life,on the sea. I used to take days off school to go fishing oysters in the winter,a fleet of boats in the bay, I made enough money in 4th year and 5th on oysters to rebuild my grandfather's currach from scratch again. And she's earned her keep since. Try to do that now and you'd have a job. That's her in the profile btw. When I went on the bigger boats out of Rosamhil in the 90's there were around 25 to 30 local craft and all mostly locals aboard. I doubt we have half a dozen left. Its not even half as hard a job as it was either. Saying that, I lost a kilo weight in the July heat and we misses the best of it

Cromwell being reimagined as a "deeply tolerant" radical liberal who just wanted to to "protect religious freedom in Ireland" according to “exciting” newly unearthed documents.
He was only compelled to massacre Catholics as he was convinced many priests had instigated the 1641 rebellion, where terrible atrocities were inflicted on the poor innocent Protestant colonisers, you see.
As proof of his liberal bona fides we are told there are precise accounts of meetings revealing how keen Cromwell was to invite Jews, who were expelled by Edward I in 1290, back to England.

There's a section of the British population with no conception of who unionists are.
It wasn't a one-off accident when the BBC showed the tricolour being waved to represent the north during a Queen's Jubilee montage over some rapper bigging up shamrocks or whatever.
It's indicative of something remarked upon in the Burkean:
"Loyalism has existed for centuries as a sort of political insurance policy for Britain, but now with Sinn Féin transformed into a generic Atlanticist liberal party working within British institutions, the necessity to keep Orangemen on the books diminishes."
Calling Bryson a paddy is a sicker burn than the combined heat of all the Eleventh Night bonfires.
Must really hurt knowing the people you plead loyalty to don't even know you exist.

So one individual was seen going around handing out penis-shaped lollipops to children at Thurles Pride and they were reported to the gardaí, allegedly.
I've been checking the Tipperary Pride facebook page and haven't noticed any statement about it. No reports in the media either. They don't seem interested in this story.
I did see an organiser complaining their Pride decorations were ripped down over night. Wonder what could have provoked that. The local radio station were interested in that story. 🤔
