Rwanda Plan: Ireland to Become Brexit Britain's Asylum Bolthole? | The Burkean
The British government’s attempted roll out of the much denigrated ‘Rwanda Plan’ to cope with asylum claims is sure to catch the covert attention of many EU states. Aimed at mitigating the pull factor of those taking their chances crossing […]

Last week, the government launched the Croí Cónaithe scheme to provide apartment developers with subsidies of between €25,000 and €144,000 per unit to help subsidise the cost of constructing them as their build cost is now more expensive than the actual open market price they can be sold for.
The €450 million scheme wants to deliver 5,000 apartments by 2026.
The catch is, households will still require an income of more than €100,000 to buy a two-bed apartment which only 14 per cent of Irish households have, according to the CSO.
A three-bed apartment will cost €450,000 to buy, but €565,000 to build.
A two-bed apartment will cost €390,000 to buy, but €470,000 to build.
A one-bed apartment will cost €320,000 to buy, but €380,000 to build.
A studio apartment will cost €275,000 to buy, but €300,000 to build.
James Benson told Pat Kenny last week that 50 per cent of the total cost of each apartment goes on taxes, levies & contributions.
Meanwhile, aside from Ukrainians, it is projected that 13,000 people will claim asylum in Ireland this year if their current rate arrival is maintained, and Roderic O'Gorman has promised to give them all homes. This Croí Cónaithe scheme would house less than half of them.
The boomer generation could afford a two storey family home with garden & garage on a single median salary.
But I guess this is what progress looks like...

>One extract says Prevent has a “double standard when dealing with extreme rightwing and Islamism”. It says the programme has taken an expansive view on rightwing terror, which has “been so broad it has included mildly controversial or provocative forms of mainstream, rightwing-leaning commentary that have no meaningful connection to terrorism or radicalisation”.

>she was surrounded by up to 60 girls who shouted, screamed, swore and spat at her. She escaped and said she collapsed, unable to breathe properly.
>“It was probably somewhat naive of her not to realise that this is indeed ‘an ideology’ and one with which you’re simply not allowed to disagree. It is quite chilling to witness first hand how this ideology operates and grows.”
They'd happily burn her at the stake if allowed to.
Reminds me of this Edward Dutton video (skip to 18:45).
The theory is that women are more religious than men as religiousness is more correlated with conscientiousness & agreeableness. Dutton says women used to be more 'right-wing' than men consequently.
Had these girls been born in the 1920s, it would be Christian doctrine they would be enforcing, but as Christianity in Britain has collapsed, their fervour is devoted to the new ideology of globohomo.
It was two pre-teen girls who were first to accuse their neighbors of witchcraft resulting in the Salem witch trials.

Protest over an alleged child predator being accommodated at the East End Hotel in Portarlington.
One protester says they want the manager tell them "who is in the hotel, what purpose they're serving here, and why the community have not been told."
She warns the protests will get bigger if they're not informed and claims a 14-year-old girl was approached by one man staying at the hotel who directed lewd comments at her.
"Children have to be able to walk the streets and be left alone. We will not be intimidated by who comes into this hotel."
The 16 bed hotel was in use as a direct provision centre for asylum seekers from May 2019 until October 2020, but was put up for rent last December for €750 a month.
MASI previously made complaints that the hotel was overcrowded which was denied by the Dept of Justice.
