They've broadened the definition of 'hate crime' to help Gardaí catch more racisms but only 11% of the complaints (38) submitted through the online hate crime portal meet the criteria.

Brazilian charged with running two brothels in Naas. One of the prostitutes was a Brazilian woman in her 70s.
During the trial Judge Desmond Zaidan recalled this prostitute being before him:

A mother in Tipperary was startled to discover the 'Ukrainian refugee' she took in used her home as a base for prostitution.
Within days, she was going on multiple dates and strange cars were pulling up at the woman’s home.
"She arranged to meet one man during St Patrick’s weekend and was planning to leave her young daughter in the house on her own."
“She didn’t get much of an option. I told her that she had to pack her things and go, and I explained that really meeting them at my gate and giving them my address was nearly as bad and really there was no place for that in my house. The attitude was quite shocking, I mean she saw no problem with it.”
It's not the fist time 'refugees' have been caught using their accommodation in Ireland for prostitution.
