Coming up next, I'm going to highlight some of the reactions to the invasion of Ukraine among the Irish political class that I didn't get around to commenting on last week....
Richard Boyd iphone has received global attention for this rant against Jews in the Dáil. There's over 300K views on this video.

It's nothing you haven't seen before. Rich wants to know why the decision to sanction Russia was effortless yet the powers that be won't sanction Israel for genociding Muslims and stealing their land.

He looks so frustrated I think he genuinely doesn't know the answer. Nobody wants to explain it to him, but I don't think he'd like to hear the real reason anyway.

I could point him towards some good sources of knowledge but he'd just call me an antisemite.

Hazel Chu is running for the Seanad. She wants you to #chooseChu (actual slogan) as your next senator, except the public can't vote so I can't understand why she's out pretending to canvass us (I can).

She's gonna sort the housing crisis and build a better, more inclusive future by demanding a right to housing for all the immigrants she'd like to replace us with. What's not to like?

Chu, like a number of politicians called around to the Ukrainian ambassador last week for a photo-op with her husband.

Chu said she wanted to "discuss how the Irish public can help the Ukrainian communities". The answer was donations.

Thanks for uncovering that information in person, Hazel. Nobody could have figured it out otherwise and you didn't waste the ambassador's time at all.

Her husband then issued an official statement on Ukraine on his website, writing in the third person, which I found funnier that I should have tbh.

I can't say too much about Sinn Féin's reaction to the invasion other that what I have already posted here as I haven't been paying attention to their remarks.

All I know is they're being warned not to veer off the official narrative.

Sinn Féin's primary target area for voter growth is among your basic college-aged NPC types so if these voters start thinking Sinn Féin have an overly nuanced view on the invasion, there are several other parties they could give their no.1 to.

Sinn Féin are masters of holding two contrary views simultaneously however, a necessity of operating in two independent jurisdictions against different political opponents.

My advice to Sinn Féin though would be to start selling pride flags with additional Ukrainian flag colours or Ukrainian themed butt plugs in their online store with all proceeds donated to aid efforts for Ukrainian alphabet people in order to assuage any nerves that might be roused among the shitlibs against them.

This fanboy would definitely buy them.

The Wallace & Daly show is in the process of being cancelled for attempting to add some context to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and for questioning the plan to try to increase the civilian death count for the propaganda effort.

Apparently Daly was on the radio yesterday and Official Ireland went absolutely spare with whatever she said judging by the reaction on twatter.

Mark O'Hallaran (whoever he is) says he'll run as MEP in the next European elections in attempt to unseat Wallace.

While I don't rate Wallace or Daly much, they can be useful.

During the Syrian war, they took a holiday along with Maureen O'Sullivan and Catherine Connolly out to visit Damascus, Maaloula and Aleppo, proving that large parts of the country was in fact safer than walking around Dublin city (photos above).

Consequently Ireland didn't need to accept any more military aged Maghreb men pretending to be Syrians fleeing conflict, and that the genuine Syrians that were here could go home now and help rebuild their nation.

As for Catherine Connolly, she almost made a decent effort with these remarks in the Dáil offering some light criticism of NATO, and the actions of two American allies but then she opted to mangle it by repeating Killary Clinton's line that women are always the primary victims of war.

I mean sure, no woman is going to enjoy making funeral arrangements for their dead husbands but it's got to be a bit less final than being killed because your president blocked you from fleeing a war zone as a result of being born a man (which isn't a war crime).

I'm learning a lot watching this war. For example, I never knew it's not a war crime to record humiliating and demoralising videos of prisoners telephoning their mothers for propaganda.

Pictured above is a Ukrainian civilian who was attempting to escape his white male privilege but was caught in the act and charged with draft dodging.

Press S to spit on him, Catherine.

North African parents get 14 years jail time each for causing catastrophic brain damage to their 9 year old daughter whom they believed had been possessed by an evil spirit.

The trial heard the girl had been regularly punched, beaten with a belt and a stick, choked, bitten and badly burned all over her body.

The girl will be dependent on carers for the rest of her life and can no longer walk, talk or sit independently.

The court heard the father told a detective that at one stage he carried out a ritual to get the "devil" or "djinn" to leave her body.

Judge Nolan said he took into account the fact that prison would be very difficult for them as they were foreign nationals who had difficulties with English — Bless.

There was no reaction from the father when sentences were imposed. The mother bowed her head.

Desmond Wisley addresses well wishers after crashing his truck through the gates of the Russian embassy in Dublin.

He tells the crowd that the Russian ambassador and his colleagues should go back to Poland where they have no freedom.

250 Ukrainian refugees fleeing Ukraine arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv but were told only Jewish Ukrainians would be allowed to enter Israel.

The others were turned away prompting Anger in the Ukrainian Embassy.

The Ukrainian ambassador recalled that his country did not hesitate to help Jews during WW2.

The Israeli Immigration Authority has since modified the conditions for entering Israel but not before deporting fifty Ukrainians to Europe.

A non-Jewish Ukrainian refugee with no Israeli relatives must find an Israeli citizen who agrees to vouch for him with a deposit of 10,000 shekels (nearly 3,000 euros) and ensure that the refugee leaves as soon as the fighting in Ukraine ends.

Beverly is going to use her voice to improve Northern Ireland.

You'll say nice things about Beverly (or be prosecuted for hate speech, and she decides what's hateful, racist).

Pity she couldn't mange do it back in Guyana.

If you follow my posts, you know that on my Mom's side, I trace my family line from Kyiv. Her maiden name is Ukrainian (Ivanenko), and to this day we have many relatives living in Ukraine. That's why this tragic conflict is personal both to me and Telegram.

Some people wondered if Telegram is somehow less secure for Ukrainians, because I once lived in Russia. Let me tell these people how my career in Russia ended.

Nine years ago I was the CEO of VK, which was the largest social network in Russia and Ukraine. In 2013, the Russian security agency, FSB, demanded that I provide them the private data of the Ukrainian users of VK who were protesting against a pro-Russian President.

I refused to comply with these demands, because it would have meant a betrayal of our Ukrainian users. After that, I was fired from the company I founded and was forced to leave Russia.

I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation. I smile with pride when I read my VK post from April 2014, which shows the scanned orders from the FSB and my trademark response to them – a dog in a hoodie.

When I defied their demands, the stakes were high for me personally. I was still living in Russia, and my team and my old company were also based in that country.

Many years have passed since then. Many things changed: I no longer live in Russia, no longer have any companies or employees there. But one thing remains the same – I stand for our users no matter what. Their right to privacy is sacred. Now – more than ever.

Cathal McCarthy got some good footage of the IFP rally in Limerick which the alphabet cult tried to shut down.

Here's a clip of Melissa O'Neill expressing her concerns about children being groomed into this cult and the psychological damage it's doing to them.

Worth remembering that Peter Tatchell, who is involved with setting the education curriculum in the UK and was pictured associating with Irish Minister for Children Roderic O'Gorman at a Dublin Pride parade, once told an audience in UCD after collecting an award that his vision for the future was one where "the vast majority of people will be open to the possibility of both opposite sex and same sex desires."

Standing in a line in a shop, easily noticeable there's a lot of different types bags of crisps out of stock at the till.

Woman in the shop: "You should tell someone to start stacking shelves"

Guy behind counter "You'll be lucky if there's bread in here soon"

That woman is probably the typical example of the Irish mindset now, she probably thinks Putin is Satan yet doesn't realise wheat and diesel are her problem, not his.

One thing about the wheat situation to remember is Ukrainian wheat is mostly winter wheat, I see different numbers but somewhere along the lines of 90% of their wheat is planted in the ground and won't be due for harvest until the latter half of the year. The number of crop failures will probably be higher than most years due to the obvious problem of 2 armies running around the country, its generally not conducive to an efficient farming environment, coupled on top of that is the closure of the ports, so the stores of wheat in the country sitting in silos across Ukraine are stuck there.

Ukrainian wheat is generally of a high quality and is perfect for making that lovely soft bread we like.

With the cost of wheat heading up we will probably see more farmers in places like the USA and England planting more this year. Its a hit and hope situation for farmers this year, they can plant wheat to try get a high price, but if everything settles down in the next few months and the price goes down to a level that suits a low wage economy like Ukraine, it'll cause knock on problems in other areas around the world.

You can see the wide variety of considerations to take into account looking at the situation on a global scale, I wouldn't personally be in an absolute panic, although the hysteria that grips the vast majority of people who see no bread in a shop so they buy 30 litres of milk and 400 rolls of toilet roll is the wild card that can cause problems.

I've said it for years and it's good advice in any situation, just go to a wholesalers where you can get a 25kg bag of rice or a €15 bulk bag of pasta etc and remember: bread is a shit food for plebs
