The Lewis Chessmen is a (probably) viking chess set found in Scotland and dates from the 1100s. Pure art, carved out of whale bone.

There was a board game played in Ireland a bit similar to chess at one stage called "Tafl", in Irish is was called "Ard Righ". Basically one team starts in the centre of the board, pawns defending the King in the centre while the attackers start from all four sides of the board and try to take the king. The largest varient recorded was an Irish 11th century game called "The Game of the Gospels", almost as big as a "Go" game.

Cllr Seamus Treanor says an organised begging gang is coming into towns like Monaghan and taking up prime begging positions.

They have "four or five bed homes in Dublin" and come down to Monaghan to beg, making up to €300 a day.

"This is definitely a scam."

One of them had been sleeping next to Magill's Jewellery shop and had more gold in his mouth than there was in the shop window, he was told.

Fine Gael's Seán Gilliland said he had come across four such beggars, some being dropped off from Dublin in Mercedes and BMWs.

Under EU rules, Ireland is fully entitled to kick these people out of the country but we never do. The problem is our govt and NGOs facilitate their abuse of our generosity.

The British Government expect you to believe that people sending insulting tweets to Diane Abbott is related to a Tory MP (who happened to be anti-vaccine mandate and ID's) being knifed to death by a Somali.

And their solution to this is to entirely ban internet anonymity.

So how are we to verify ourselves to get back on the internet?

Well, whadya know, it just so happens the Technocrats want us all on a digital ID system where all your details are stored on a smart device, the same ones that allow vaccinated people to go on holiday and get in nightclubs.

I've reported before how RTÉ are desperate to force the narrative that xenophobic Brexiteers are to be blamed for near famine conditions in the UK even though it's been explained to them live on their own airwaves by the president of the European Federation of Haulage Drivers that EU membership and cheap foreign labour is responsible for the trucker shortage.

Determined to force their narrative however, last night RTÉ invited Nigel Farage on for a trial by Claire. The segment was pre-recorded with Claire's role to find Farage guilty of destroying Britain for racism while footage of people scrapping over petrol played.

Claire is a pretty face for repeating regime talking points but she stresses easily when she has to challenge a real person. They'd queued her up with footage of Farage being fooled into saying "up the RA" in a silly attempt to own him (the only clip they put online) but this flopped and she was left blinking at a million miles per hour after Farage had rebutted all her points.

Roma gypsy woman convicted of stealing 15 bottles of wine by smuggling them under her skirt claims she's a victim of discrimination.

She's here 20 years and has a house courtesy of the Irish taxpayer.

Feeling stupid yet? Good. After that comes anger. That's when things change.
