Speaking to RTÉ this week, Fianna Fáil Health Minister Stephen Donnelly said the new Brazilian covid variant, though causing serious concern, has not stopped over 1,500 Brazilian migrants from entering the Republic of Ireland in the last 2 weeks.

Although he played a crucial role in the Gaelic Revival, the German academic Kuno Meyer is no longer well known. A pioneering scholar of Old Irish, he helped revive appreciation of Ireland's ancient and medieval literature. Meyer founded the School of Irish Learning in Dublin and the influential Journal "Ériu". His award of the Freedom of Dublin was revoked due to pro-German comments during WW1 (posthumously restored by Sinn Féin in 1920)

Brazilians are accusing the media of concocting a false narrative about the nature of the stabbing in East Wall.
Most of the reporting has been carefully ambiguous on the details, with the type of "clashes occurred" rhetoric being employed that is typical of any story that doesn't suit the establishment's agenda.
This incident involves a Brazilian wage slave and a mixed-race member of a football club that promotes globohomo and so the NGOs can't amp up some racial angle. They've been quiet, despite backing the Brazilians before when there were violent incidents involving Dublin youth.
But the Sunday World offers the most clarity, reporting that the gardaí suggest the stabbing victim was trying to calm a situation involving a bike theft.
