In the Sunday Times today it is reported that gardaí say they had previously been called to deal with disturbances arising from Nkenhco's behaviour at the house he was shot outside of in Manorfields.

Members of the family had obtained protection orders against him on the basis that he posed a threat to their safety.

Gardaí feared that the 27-year-old could stab or take hostages if allowed into his family home.

I read somewhere the first two shots were warning shots (possibly not verified) after which Knechco lunged towards the guards.

It took three more to stop the subsequent attack he launched at gardaí who had previously attempted to incapacitate him with a taser and pepper spray.

Naomi O'Leary who is the European correspondent for the Irish Times told her followers today that Ireland 2040 is "a great replacement conspiracy invented by Alex Jones' Infowars and promoted by far right YouTuber Stefan Molyneaux".

When I corrected her by linking to audio from Simon Coveney stating the government's intention to double the population of every city outside of Dublin with 500,000 new immigrants by 2040, I was blocked.

I guess she's right when she calls it a conspiracy — a conspiracy to keep the public uninformed.
