The Tuatha Dé were depicted as the original inhabitants of Ireland while the Irish were immigrants who brought change.

Two facts worth mentioning.
1. It's illegal for you to kill livestock without first stunning the animal. The EU makes an exception though if you are slaughtering an animal as part of a religious ritual. This grants Muslims and Jews their loophole, rendering the ban on no-stun slaughter meaningless.
2. Muslims are permitted in the Quran to eat haram foods where no halal food is available (including pork). Consequently, a country can ban halal meats and Muslims will be perfectly content to eat any meat they can find in perfect accordance with their religion.
I once worked with a sincere Somalian Muslim who would buy a chicken roll from Dunnes Stores for lunch. When I put it to him that the chicken was haram, he replied that it was not as the nearest halal shop was too far (about a 10 minute walk) so he was permitted to eat it.
It's a different story for the Jews I think which is possibly why halal meat is pushed so hard (more on that next).

This is Pinchas Goldschmidt, often described as "Europe's top rabbi". He serves as president of the Conference of European Rabbis which unites over seven hundred rabbis from Dublin to Khabarovsk.
To put his remarks into context, this was an interview on RT from around the time of what they were calling the "migrant crisis," possibly in 2015. The crisis never stopped but they've stopped calling it that now.
Goldschmidt was quite excited about the influx of Muslim migrants to Europe as he explained in the interview that Muslims could be used as a bulwark to serve Jewish interests as there was a number of religious issues they had it common like circumcision and halal/kosher meat — strength in numbers.
"We see ourselves fighting together with our Muslim brothers...they are our natural allies."
Notice too his use of the phrases "free Europe" and "old Europe". We are the old Europe he wants to replace.
