Prime Time: Clonskeagh Mosque the Muslim Brotherhood in Ireland

In fairness to RTÉ, they did a decent job outlining the links between the Clonskeagh mosque and the Muslim Brotherhood and this Prime Time episode aired while the Ibrahim Halawa story was hot and the NGO-media complex were trying to pretend he was a model Irishman who just accidently got caught up on the Muslim Brotherhood side in the siege at a mosque in Cairo in August 2013 while he was trying to go to a cinema on holiday.

Wikileaks revealed that diplomatic cables sent to Washington from Ireland in 2001 raised questions about the mosque's links to the Muslim Brotherhood.

"Despite...the center's reputation as a moderate mosque in Dublin, we retain some suspicions about the activities...there are known extremists who frequent ICCI."

The cables make clear that the US believes Hussein Halawa is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.

"It is doubtful that he...or others suspected of Muslim Brotherhood involvement operate interdependently of some informal conservative Islamic or Muslim Brotherhood hierarchy"

Prof Oliver Sharbrodt also says there is no question the of the Muslim Brotherhood's influence on the mosque as the members of staff have a background in the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and connections still exist. They are also part of European networks of the Muslim Brotherhood like the Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe.

There is a clear connection between the Mosque and the Muslim Brotherhood through the Council of Fatwas and Research.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations (FIOE) in Europe is an umbrella body for Muslims. One of its leaders, Ahmed Al Rawi, described it as being interlinked with the Brotherhood and "with a common point of view".

The United Arab Emerites have listed the FIOE as a terrorist organisation along with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Clonskeagh's Hussein Halawa visited their conference in 2012. In London, the FIOE set up the Council for Fatwas and Research in 1997. Soon after the Clonskeagh mosque was built, the Council moved there and used it as their European HQ. Hussein Halawa works as their secretary general.

They still won't close the borders:

THERE is concern in one of Ireland's biggest garda stations after a foreign national, brought in for suspected immigration offences, has shown symptoms of Covid-19.

The Brazilian man was brought from Dublin Airport to Kevin Street District Garda Station after he attempted to gain entry into Ireland, in what is believed to be unlawful circumstances.

The cell area of the Dublin City Centre garda station has been isolated this morning.

The Brazilian man, who was brought in by the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) has showed symptoms of the virus, leaving the entire area in shutdown.

The man is in isolation while he awaits a coronavirus diagnostic test.

His test won't come until around 5pm, however, as he is number 70 on a HSE list waiting to be tested across the capitol.
