A new GP in Bray has closed his books to new patients despite being nowhere near full after being flooded with appointment requests from Ukrainians.

Dr John Kealy said attending to patients from abroad is far more complex, and the time required to adequately deal with one non-national is equivalent to seeing 10 or 15 Irish people. Only a quarter of his current patient list is Irish.

All Ukrainians seeking temporary protection automatically receive a free medical card on arrival in Ireland.

Syrian in Ballaghaderreen says he receives €500 a week in welfare after arriving nine months ago directly from Jordan with 9 family members including three children and 30 other families.

He says the UN brought him here. They asked him where he'd like to go and Treasure Island was his top pick.

Massive miscarriage of justice for Anto Boyle.

You might remember a video in March 2023 of Anto Boyle tackling Romanian Ionas Carolea who he said had masturbated in front of him in the Jervis St Toilets.

We then discovered this same man had pleaded guilty in Sep 2022 to masturbating in front of two undercover gardaí in the same toilets after they set up a surveillance operation which resulted in the arrest of several men for similar behaviour. Foreign gays had been using the toilets as a sex den.

Not only that, when Boyle tackled him, Carolea had just been given an 8 month suspended sentence for groping an M&S employee who was washing his hands in these same toilets after trying to open the man's zipper.

But today the judge in Boyle's case dismissed his case after Carolea's defence argued Boyle made the allegation up because he's involved with far-right poilitics and just accused Carolea to get donations. Carolea's priors don't seem to have been allowed into evidence.

Turns out Aontú's candidate for Boyle in the local elections, Fayiz Alsani, works as the Refugee Resettlement & Integration Support Officer at the the Abbeyfield Hotel in Ballaghaderreen (mentioned at 3:30 in this clip).

That's the hotel that the Syrian from Jordan, who said he takes in €500 a week in welfare, stays in while his council house is being prepared.

Can everyone now please stop claiming there are 14,000 homeless Irish people to make the case against infinity asylum seekers.

We were told in 2022 that 30 - 40 per cent of people registering as homeless each month are recently arrived immigrants, with Roma identified as accounting for an unspecified "large volume".

Now new data reveals that in January of this year, 48 per cent of adults in emergency accommodation were counted as non-Irish citizens, with that proportion increasing to 56 per cent in Dublin. We're not told what additional contingent are foreigners with Irish citizenship.

Last year a Eurofound study showed that some 40 per cent of Irish people aged 25 to 34 are in employment but still living with their parents (~400,000).

35 per cent of this age group said they plan to move to another country and another 26 per cent said they would like to move — the highest levels in the EU.

Meanwhile 149,200 immigrants arrived in Ireland just last year.

That's the crisis.

Here’s the housing crisis: Landlords have long figured out they can cram 20–30 English-school visa-mill students into one family home for €10,000/month rent.

Irish people are not only competing with these students to rent properties but also with investment funds to purchase them—as a high return is guaranteed so long as infinity foreigners keep arriving.

Unlike the UK, Ireland lacks maximum occupancy guidelines, and a loophole allows the students to be classified as temporary “licensees” of the property rather than tenants, avoiding tenancy rights issues. One property fund, called Vestry General Partner, owns 250 such properties.

Chinese investors are pouring huge sums into Dublin real estate, with many also having been attracted by the offer of a pathway to citizenship for investing. One Hong Kong group owns more than €58M in Irish properties.

This basic supply-and-demand issue is by design—and those opposed to restricting demand bear full responsibility for the crisis.
