A jobs fair exclusively for so-called refugees is taking place at Croke Park today in partnership with the UNHCR.
Employers receive a €7,500 government grant for each refugee they employ for at least 18 months. There is no limit on the number of refugees they can employ.

A HomeCare rep was delighted to get "loads of applications" at the jobs fair put on exclusively for so-called refugees at Croke Park today, telling independent journalist Philip Dwyer that she found some "really good candidates".
Meanwhile investigations are continuing to determine whether a Nigerian asylum seeker is to be charged with sexually assaulting a further 21 elderly residents at a HSE nursing home where he worked as a healthcare assistant.
Emmanuel Adeniji was sentenced in August 2020 to 11 years in jail for raping a 73-year-old resident of the nursing home with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Though the woman made repeated allegations to staff, telling them that Adeniji entered her room at night and was “doing things” to her, none of the allegations were recorded on her file as staff attributed the allegations to hallucinations or mental health issues.
Her family had been told Adeniji was garda vetted.

A protest has been called for Eblana Ave, Dún Laohaire, at 6:30pm tomorrow after a local mother accused one of asylum centre guests of plying two 14-year-old girls with vodka & beer and then forcing his tongue down one of their necks after grabbing her by the throat.
The girl allegedly collapsed and was taken to hospital where she remained unconscious for four hours.

Most communities have to at least hold a protest if not riot over plans to plant their area with foreigners before Newstalk will deign a visit but the Pat Kenny Show is already on the scene chatting up local concerns after news broke in the Business Post on Sunday that the former HQ of the Irish League of Credit Unions (valued at €9.5 million) is to be repurposed as a super asylum centre.
Situated directly opposite the IPAS office in the most affluent corner of Dublin city's monopoly board, it would seem like an ideal location for a projected 700 new to the parish, but the Mount Street Area Residents' Network is saying NO (bit of a challenge fitting that on a banner but maybe they don't feel the need for one).
But if, as the residents' association says is the case, the area can't provide the facilities and "wrap around services" which their new neighbours will require, nowhere can, and it's time to end the asylum racket and start the mass deportations.

Gardaí have declined to investigate an immigrant from Jamaica who posted threats against Dublin City councillor Gavin Pepper on tiktok.
In one clip referencing a video by the councillor highlighting some immigration concerns, the aspiring rapper Kannon threatened:
"If the Irish government don't find this guy, we're going to find him ourselves and deal with him."
In another post, a photo of the councillor was overlaid with the text:
"The Irish has 48 hours to hand over my children or Im doing the same to yours."
The nature of the complaint Kannon has about his children is unclear but he previously advised migrants to join a gang and "strap-up" to "protect your families" from Irish people while also posting to X "SHANNK UP ALL RACISTS".
Cllr Pepper says he reported the threats to Finglas Garda station but was told Kannon's posts were open to interpretation.
Kannon has previously taken part in a photo-op with Minister for Housing Darragh O'Brien.

An Egyptian resident of the asylum centre on Eblana Ave in Dún Laoghaire told community activist Ferg Power at the protest this evening that he believes the asylum seeker accused of plying two 14-year-old girls with alcohol and sexually assaulting one of them is HIV positive.
The Egyptian also said that the man was moved out of the asylum seeker two days ago and nobody knows where he is living now.

The Palestinian in RTÉ's latest asylum sob story has been raising some eyebrows.
RTÉ tell us that Haneen Alkahlout and her two children from Gaza joined father Hazem Malaka in Ireland this month on family reunification visas after Hazem was granted refugee status last August, but they've since had trouble finding accommodation (join the queue).
Some are suggesting Hazem could sell his €1,500 Moncler jacket for rent money because it turns out he's been a bit of a jetsetter per his instagram, travelling the world competing in bodybuilding contests in between splitting his time running a café in Gaza and a barber shop in South Africa where he raised his family...or should I say his first family because his four children in Jo'burg don't resemble the two younger children he has brought here.
Maybe he's chosen us to offload them.
Also undisclosed by RTÉ is that in 2012, Hazem Malaka stabbed a soccer star with a pair of scissors outside his barber shop, as if we needed more stabbers.

Hazem Malaka has now privated his instagram. Nobody else seems to have noticed that his children in South Africa and Ireland are different.
As you can no longer compare them with the links in my previous post, I'm posting the images here. In the left photo, he is with four of his children at a Vaal river horse stables in South Africa in March 2022. He calls these children his sons & daughters in other posts.

Man charged in brutal Letterkenny rape and strangulation case required an Arabic interpreter in court today.
The incident occurred last October off the lower Main street and left the alleged victim with “horrendous” and “brutal” injuries. The woman did not know her alleged attacker.
The man, who is in his 20s and has not been named, appeared by videolink at Letterkenny Circuit Court. He is to to stand trial at Central Criminal Court.

Human trafficker Lucky Enogheghase claims he didn't know the Nigerian women he trafficked into Ireland were to be forced into prostitution but his surname is remarkably similar to one of the two Nigerian women found guilty of human trafficking and running a prostitution ring in 2021.
The trial of Edith Enoghaghase and Alicia Edosa was believed to be the first conviction of its type in Ireland and heard victims underwent a voodoo ceremony in Nigeria before their journey through Libya and Italy where they used fake Irish passports to fly into Ireland.
Lucky Enogheghase's trial this week also heard the victims were trafficked via North Africa and Italy but only says the "third parties" who forced the women into prostitution on arrival in Ireland have already been dealt with by the courts.
I can't find a report of any other trafficking and prostitution case. Makes we wonder whether Lucky and Edith are siblings.

The Irish Refugee Council is hosting an event to assist converting Ukrainians who received temporary protection status into permanent refugees.
After Ukraine was invaded in February 2022, the EU's Temporary Protection Directive was activated allowing Ukrainians and third-country nationals living in Ukraine the right to bypass the standard asylum process and receive immediate benefits upon arrival in Ireland.
These benefits included access to the labour market, €220 in Jobseeker's Allowance per week on top of free housing, food, medical card, access to education and a monthly Child Benefit payment of €140 per child.
Ukrainians had the option to apply for asylum through the standard process and only receive €38.80 per week but the vast majority did not. The Temporary Directive was sold to the Irish public as lasting a maximum of three years. Ukrainians would then have to return home (and not just for Christmas).
Now after receiving the full perks package, they're seeking to stay.
