Complete overreaction by the Garda today. Once the fires were out, all they had to do was keep a lowkey presence to calm tensions and assure locals that work had stopped and no asylum seekers would be entering the site as the situation was too volatile.

This brutality looked to have been driven by pure malice and it's only used against Irish people as we all saw how they reacted when Africans were rampaging through Blanchardstown attacking random Irish people over George Nkencho's death. They did nothing.

The message they wanted to send today is: Accept the plantation or you'll be beaten until you do.
