You might remember Lauren Spencer, the courageous young woman who shared her harrowing story with Derek Blighe about what she endured for seven hours after getting into a fake taxi on a night out.
Ioan Lingurar had five previous convictions, including one for sexual assault in France before arriving in Ireland and raping two women using the same ploy.
Given all Lauren has been through, you would think the government would at very least prioritise her on the housing list and find her somewhere safe to stay. Instead, Lauren is now facing homelessness and may have to enter a shelter with migrants if she can't find a place to rent soon.
Adding to her struggles, Lauren is pregnant and has an autistic son. If you know of anywhere she can stay, please reach out to her on her tiktok.

The last time we heard of Chinonso Igboanusi (28), of no fixed abode, was in March when he was remanded in custody for the preparation of a psychiatric evaluation after he assaulted a woman from behind in Corbally and was spotted acting erratically with a knife at various locations around Limerick. He was finally arrested at a Lidl in possession of that knife and a ski mask.
Well they must have given him the all clear and deemed him fit for release because on Wednesday he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman from behind on French Church Street in Cork.
Eddie Burke, solicitor, said of the accused: “I don’t think he is fit to deal with this. I have concerns about his mental health — serious concerns. This man is not fit to deal with the matter because of his mental state.”
Judge Dorgan recommended that he be seen by a prison psychiatrist.

Before the legalisation of abortion in in 2018, it was estimated 3,000 to 4,000 women from Ireland traveled to Britain each year for abortion services.
According to 2016 statistics, of the 3,500 women who traveled to Britain for abortion services, 2,500 were Irish.
A Rally For Life will take place at 1:30pm this Saturday, July 6th, beginning at Parnell Square.
